A great trailer for Flight Simulator X has been released. It's a bit light on the in-game footage but is worth checking out just to see a refreshing take on game trailers. Screenshots show off some of the lushness.

Yeah I really don't understand the appeal of this game. I mean it's a nice achievement, but it terms of fun and excitement it doesn't even have a pulse.

Great, so terrorists can practive flying into monuments all the world without even leaving the house/cave.

/sarcasm.

I can't figure it out - are you being sarcastic saying 'great' (like, obviously it's not great if that's what happens) or are you being sarcastic in that there's no actual way flight simulators increase terrorism?

Everyone knows that flight simulators directly influence how often there is a Zombie Pandamic.

I hope they updated the 2D hud. I noticed in the 747 that nothing changed from '98 to '04 or at least very little.

Hence the term 'simulator'. For example, my dad, an ex-pilot, gets a kick out of it.

I love the Flight Simulator series. I've never been a die hard fan but I've enjoyed them all (I've always secretly wanted to be a fighter pilot, ever since I saw Top Gun).

Some of my best gaming memories are doing things like trying to fly the 747 from Hong Kong to Singapore. It sounds sort of uninteresting if you don't 'get it', but it's really quite challenging.

I have always been a fan of the Flight Sim series. The game is great for anyone who is interested in flight training or flying in general. Such as IFR practise (flying using instruments only).

But i agree, the game isnt everyones cup of tea. =)
