Blizzard have snuck out some information about new features in the next World of Warcraft update:

The next patch for World of Warcraft will include some significant new feature updates to player-vs.-player (PvP) gameplay – namely, objective-based world PvP and cross-realm battlegrounds. Although details of these features are subject to change during development, we’d like to provide you with a general idea of what to expect.

Now that they have removed the gay from the instanced PvP I will be playing it. My rogue needs some new daggers for the expansion.

Full open pvp is retarded. Dred servers in DAOC and Zek servers in EQ proved that.

it wasn't ideal in daoc, but only cos the game wasn't designed for it in the first place - even moreso with eq. dred servers were still fun though

Random killing of your fellow realm mates/citizens should have consequences. ie. Loss of faction with factions they are allied with.

I hit lvl 54 with my priest last night while in Sunken Temple if anyone cares. Soon I will be the most powerful priest in all the land and may god have mercy on your souls.

I have 31 points in shadow and the rest in discipline. Once I hit 60 I'll re-spec and go holy but what I've got now is awesome for going solo and also 5 man dungeons. I can heal like a motherf***er plus dish out awesome damage.

Looking forward to seeing the new stuff I get to use when I go holy. Hopefully there's some nice kick-ass spells in there.

I'm shadow spec but I don't use shadow from when in dungeons.

Shadow priests can heal fine in 5 man instances, providing you're not with a bunch of f***wits.

Which is what the WoW community is basically comprised of.

Holy Spec priest and healing is E Z.

Not to mention, 1vs1 pvp your survivability is comparable to a paladin if not greater.
Unfortunately the damage dealing is aids, wouldn't be so bad if fags didn't run aroun you and even though you're facing them you get that "you must face target to cast" bs just as you finish the cast.

Most of the time Evis is my Main Tank and he 2Hand Zerker stance tanks, if need be, Pally Off-Tanks with 2 Hander, but 90% of the time stupid said pally is AFK.

Provided the mobs aren't smashing them faster than I can flash heal it's a rawkin.

i stopped playing for 5 months, got a game card, on the weekend I jsut did AV, got the lobo and now saving for my epic mount. was honored and went up 4 ranks :)

ah this is with my undead 60 rogue on frostmourne. I love the rogue, but can't wait till the next patch, I'll have a go at the test realm sunday night(unless I'm doing something else).

but how did you three man the dragon mobs outside beforehand? :P no way you can do that with no dd/aoe and only 1.5 healers - regardless of how well the tank can get all the mobs on him

If they're all lvl 60 toons then maybe they did. Lower than that and I call bulls***. The mobs upstairs where the dragons are only have about two elites and about 4-5 of those little flying dragon things. They must have went thru an ass-load of heal pots.

All they need to do to fix world pvp is simple.

1. Remove DKs
2. Increase server stability for large raids (i.e. no lag when you raid ogrimmar / if)
3. Introduce a conquest ruleset so you can take over towns and gimp the other faction.
