it just searches for artists with a similar name? I put in nikki webster as a joke and it came up with some other chick last named webster.

Yeah, Pandora's quite good. I've come across a few artists I wouldn't have otherwise known about that were pretty good through that site.

While pandora is okay for awhile, my mp3 playlist always satisfies me.

this is pretty cool although only reflects the current mood i'm in, as i have a liking to most different musical genres
