Why not combine both the RE idea and Kats idea? For those who want to, meet at a restaurant for a meal and a chat, then those who wish to continue head off to the RE for drinks. Im sure that there are those of us who don't wish to go drinking and those who don't wish to go out for dinner, but cover both bases.

Cover both bases on seperate dates maybe? The people that don't wanna go drinking won't go on the RE night and the people that don't want to eat won't go on the dinner night.

I actually thought this sounded quite reasonable. There is no reason they can't be held on the same night in close vacinity to each other. If it were at the RE, there are plenty of great eating places right there, most of which are BYO. Indian (ftw), Chinese, Castelli's Pizza, Thai... what else could you want? If you're after a steak or salad (lol) just eat at the RE!

Dinner@7pm, RE drinks@9pm. ROCK ON MOTHER f***ERS.
