not sure about it, first few songs sound like they are trying to get radio play (i.e not oldschool rock'n'roll - kinda fused pop stuff, dunno)

loved tracks 7 and 8 assasin and exo politics

Yeh same here. I think it would f***ing rock live. I quite like it although it is vastly different from the early days of Showbiz.

as for the new album i jus cant get into it, much prefer showbiz/origins to it, absolution was good but still the earlier stuff stands out the most to me.

Yeah I like the first two albums best, especially origins. I actually quite like the new album, despite it being very different. After all, thats one of the things I liked most about Muse, they are very inventive and creatively different.

The new album actually harks back a little to Showbiz more than any of the other albums, musically at least.

the album is okay, but still disapointing... there were a couple of tracks i liked, but nothing hit me like stockholm, or hysteria, or plug in baby, or showbiz, in your world, or thoughts of a dying athiest... Well not yet anyway, but i havent listened to it in a while, i'll buy it when it comes out and probably make my mind up properly after listening to it non stop for a few weeks :-).

I f***ing love it! It is just different enough to keep my interest, but it has enough of the classic Muse sound so it rocks out hard.

There was an interview with Matt Belamy that Jay and the Doctor did the other day which was interesting; he basically said they did a bunch of other wack s*** that I think never made the album. Would love to hear what it sounds like, hopefully it turns up at some point.

while the last couple of albums have been some classic stuff, the new one just proves how awesome they are at sustaining the same great level of quality

Damn, finally had a listen to this whole album after all the talk on JJJ. Never really listened to Muse before, figured they were probably too pop for my likings. How wrong was I - this album kicks serious butt! Damn I love a band that knows how to play their instruments properly.
