Fade, don’t do it. We hosted there originally, and the customer service was horrible. They've become too big for their boots.

i used to work at webcentral.

prices - average to reasonable
service - awesome
infrastructure - awesome
downtime - minimal to none

basically the prices arent the best you'll find but with the 24 hour brisbane based tech support, and the infrastructure in place thats why, you pay for what you get.

the new 2006 plans should offer what you want, as a business host id definately recommend them.

i use www.cheapdomain.com.au for australian domains, $66 for 2 years. I use www.domainspricedright.com for other TLD's. Both have been excellent.

For business hosting, I can recommend the following for australian hosts

www.anchor.net.au
www.ultraserve.net.au
www.coralhosting.com.au

propaganda and lies tung

prices - very overpriced
service - Not too good
infrastructure - Awesome
downtime - holy crap how do they do it

Netlogistics are very good, and AussieHQ was good.... You get what you pay for really.

What kind of site are you running? PHP or some cheaty .net hax?

Don't ever f***ing go with these guys. I mean ever. Company I worked for had these guys and the site went up and down more than Jenna Jamesons grundys.

You'd call them up and you'd be given some bulls*** excuse of a really vague technical error "oh yeah we just rebooted the server that problem is fixed now" only to have it still happening whilst you were on the phone.

Then when it finally came to leave those guys they made it as hard as they possibly could to move over. I was new at the company and wasn't too sure on the infrastructure and asked them for help and they were quite irrate saying there was no way they were going to help me move to a competitor.

AussieHQ ftw.

You do get what you pay for, you pay for uptime and infrastructure through webcent. Doesnt mean they will have good customer service, but the hardware and network is probably the best in australia.

I would have said AussieHQ... but not anymore.
