Got into work this morn and we had found this happened in our server room. 2 out of 10 died. Its pretty lucky the place didnt burn down. Thank fk we had some surge protectors.

looks like a sk server room this is just our in house db's and snap drives. our real 50+ x 11 terrabyte servers and clustered database servers are hosted over two secure locations. |

even so, I think you can see why it's a good idea to use *real* surge protectors / UPS's. How much would the fire have cost if you weren't so lucky? A lot more than top of the range protection would!
