Since my I am a firefox newb thread got my previous six months of FF pain solved, i thought i'd post this here too.

Since completely reinstalling BF2 to get the 1.22 full patch to stick, and deleting the bf2 cache folder off mydocuments, i have been unable to stay connected to a ranked server (GA, Node) for more than about 5 minutes without being DC'd by the server.

My punkbusters claims it is up to date. The only things i have done on the PC since 1.22 came out is:

1. got my video in working on my 7800gtx
2. new mouse (logitect g7)
3. this month's windows patches

i'm not sure why any of these would see me dc'd all the time, but it too annoys the f*** out of me

any help appreciated.

Have you got a duel core machine?

alt-ctrl+del in game and set CPU affinity to 1 CPU on BF2.exe.
