I was just reading around, found this vid of how cool the SU-35 is. I've seen a few vids of it, but this one is by far the coolest.
the flips it can do are incredible. the one around 1 minute in is just awesome. Damn Russians and their superior thrust vectoring. hypertext link |

maneuverability isnt of much use when your plane just exploded into a million bits fired from an aircraft you didnt know was there.

its hardly new tech, the airframe its based on has been in service since the early 90's, the f22 blows it out of the water in everything except crowd pleasing acrobatics. take a look at the cockpit on the su27/37, its remeniscent of the 707's from 50 years ago.
anyway, all major battles in the next 30 years will be fought on the ground the hard way. there wont be any major superpower battles ever. if there is itll be a nuclear one and no one will win. the economies of the 2 remaining super powers are so intertwined that without each other they literally could no survive, they would be face economic ruin. id place my bets on iran or syria or north korea being next on the american hitlist. fleets of fantastically magical aircraft aren't worth a pinch of s*** without the ground intelligence. something the yanks have realised after afghanistan and iraq, something they forgot from vietnam. |

Dunno, how long did the official conflict in iraq last? About 72 hours? They bombed the piss out of anything that mattered, walked right over the republican guard and took baghdad. Only, one city really held them off (tikret or whatever).

maybe the 'official' phase of combat is over, but ask any of the soldiers now if its over. more then 2500 yanks have been killed since the 'end' of that little conflict.
its not hard to steamroll a a 1970's era army with the latest technology money can buy. |

As much as I hate to give the french credit for anything...
Any of you kids ever checked the casualty levels of the german forces when they were occupying(sp) france and then doing a comparison on ratio of US to non-US in occupied territories? |

HAH, try a 100,000. id place my bets on iran or syria or north korea being next on the american hitlist. fleets of fantastically magical aircraft aren't worth a pinch of s*** without the ground intelligence. something the yanks have realised after afghanistan and iraq, something they forgot from vietnam. thats true, while i was in iraq, only 2 times i heard fighter jets... i was there for 3 months. The country is filled with troops and their vehicles... and let me say, they're getting f***ing hammered. They under estimated those I-ROCKIES. |

i doubt 100,000 by a long shot. the vietnam war saw 50,000 killed and the yank presence there was over 10 years and 500,000 on the ground during most of the war.

You're as stupid as those people who think 9/11 was a conspiracy (oh wait you do) and those people who believe that the world is only 6000 years old (oh wait you probably think that too, well in any case you believe in some sort of religion) if you think that 100,000 troops have died.
And no I work at a nightclub now. I still have contacts in the ladies underwear department though so tell Booyah's missus that those size 24 undergarments are in. |

i'm just saying, if such a huge scandal existed, with 25000 people dying each year in iraq, with all of the american news providers in on it, i would still expect to see something on aljazeera or ogrish at least. the western aligned countries sure they may be censored, but not the durka durkas.
all the evidence we see is when some durka durka's release the odd video of themselves chopping off a head of a journalist, or blowing up a humvee every week or so when theyre not busy blowing themselves up at mosques and markets most of the time trying to start a civil war. |

The most remarkable manoevure is the one at about 1:35 when the aircraft is at 120 degrees angle of attack for a few seconds - it's flying backwards! Still, if you put ten of these against an F-22, the F-22 would easily be the winner. You don't even need very skilled combat pilots to sit in your F-22s. The on-board computer systems are so good, all the tactical decisions have already been made.

Regardless of the ridiculousness of his number, I would be more likely to believe Bigzub, taking into account the fact that he's been there, and you've all been here reading about it on the internet. Wtf would any of you tufkunts know about war ffs. The most stress most of you would've been under is deciding how to make your parents sorry for giving birth to such a loser. Also, sif the sukoi isn't still an impressive and cool plain, even if it isn't the most lethal at killing human beings. It would be nice to see your families blow to smitherines and then ask you how cool you think something is because it is more lethal as opposed to more maneuvurable... last edited by AnaRoT at 17:28:40 10/Apr/06 |

yeah he's been there he must be right... don't let those annoying little things like logic or reason get in the way... sure he's been there, and he has a huge vested interest and a rediculous bias. it might not be 2500 but it sure as hell isn't 100,000 and if you need anyone to explain why you're pretty retarded. edit: oh dear, i'm not one for the spelling/grammar nazi stuff on the intarwebs but how the f*** do you spell "plane" as "plain".. and what is that last paragraph even saying... last edited by taggs at 17:42:33 10/Apr/06 |

Of course they would. But I just find it funny that all you molly coddled babies think he has no idea about things, despite the fact that he's seen things with his own eyes, as opposed to reading "facts" on the internet. |

nope, i didn't miss it.
but what you're saying is that it's admittedly rediculous yet more believable than the official number which would be highly scrutinised by the public, media organisations, anti-war groups, etc... which is quite retarded. white trash? do you even know what race i am? edit: don't bother answering it was rhetorical. the answer is no. last edited by taggs at 17:58:19 10/Apr/06 |

public, media organisations, anti-war groupsumm i didn't see any of these in iraq, oh thats right, they'd be all killed. even if they against the war. If you're white, you'd be kidnapped for ransom, the end. you guys keep believing the internet and your 'very true news' |

and don't give me this aljazeera and other media sources bulls***.
Qatar has no elections and is a hereditary monarchy which is a pretty word for dictatorship. The U.S. have put their command centre for the war in Doha, Qatar, which is very odd since Qatar has no elections. The Pentagon has also allowed Al-Jazeera a spot alongside U.S. troops in their war effort. http://www.freepressinternational.com/al-jazeera.291090909.qatar.891.html and if you still don't get it, you shouldn't be talking politics and making up assumptions. just shut the f*** up and go back to your MMPORG. |

i didn't say they were in iraq, i said they were scrutanising the numbers. which can be done from outside of iraq believe it or not. and how do you answer that pesky little problem of 100,000 families and friends failing to notice that little billy didn't come home from iraq?

They must have sent home roped up mannequins, and Weekend at Bernie's style hilarity ensued.
And Suhaib saw and counted 100,000 bodies when he went over to iraq did he? |

but what you're saying is that it's admittedly rediculous yet more believable than the official number Ummm... no, what I'm saying is that I'd be more likely to believe his perspective than yours. What the f*** would you know about the war? Oh yeah and the people you listed that it would be scrutinised by - the public? Please.... Media organisations - you think they would ever report that 100 000 Americans have died. Anti war groups? What exactly would they know about whats happening in Iraq? Obviously it would be very difficult/impossible to cover up 100 000 deaths and I don't believe they did, but I do believe that you have absolutely no perspective, except for what is fed to you by the media. He may be biased, but he basing his bias on first hand information, as opposed to you basing your bias on the opinion of a news righter on the other side of the world. |

So we are stupid for believing the 'first hand' information from the news writer on the other side of the world who has no reason to be bias, and you are smart for believing the 'first hand' information from suhaib who has every reason to be bias?
edit: actually the news writer would be bias. They'd be bias towards suhaib's side, to sensationalise the stories to sell more newspapers. last edited by fpot at 18:38:25 10/Apr/06 |

i think the 100,000+ deaths you were thinking of is iraqi civilians based on the survey by the Johns Hopkings Bloomberg School of Public Health (from wiki) last edited by icewyrm at 23:30:59 10/Apr/06 last edited by icewyrm at 23:31:16 10/Apr/06 |
