Hey guys
This is a bit dodgy, but I need some help on this. Some of you may have seen ads in the paper/on the radio, etc, that BWS is running "Australia's biggest tipping comp". Basically, there is $850,000 in prizes all up, with $25,000 cash 1st prize for both the NRL and AFL comps. There is also home theatre systems and booze to be won each month. It's free to join, and you just put your tips in via the website or SMS. Now, while the comp is going fairly well so far, we are still getting hounded to sign more people up. Unfortunately not everyone has access to the net or wants to use their phone for this so it's not always that easy to get them to join. However, since you guys are all fairly net savvy and a lot of you are into sport, this might be a good place to start. If you are interested, the website for the comp is - http://www.beerwinespirits.com.au/asp/index.asp?sid=5&page=thebigtip. Each week you just put your tips in (win/lose - draws count as a win) and the margin for the nominated game. You also have to enter a fortnightly password which is available from any shops. Now, since a lot of you may not be able to get into shops to get the password, I will email/msg you it if you want. This is the dodgy part, as we are not really supposed to be doing this. But if they want more numbers, I can't see a way around it. What I also need you to do is join one of MY shops. You could join your local if you want, but the point of this is to try to get some more people signed up to one of the shops I work at. Please msg me or email me - soundpimp@hotmail.com if you want to join and I will give you the rest of the details (not to keen on putting them up on here just in case there is fallout). Even if you aren't that interested in participating in the tipping comp for the whole season, just signing up would be much appreciated. PS - Even though the NRL comp has already started, you will still get points for the first two rounds. You get the away teams for every round you don't put your teams in, with a maximum of 5 points. So far, away teams would give you 9 points, which is more than the current average of 7.3 or something. |

Question: did they ever used to have rugby league games on weekdays? I am sure I remember watching football as a little kid on wednesdays and stuff.

They used to have regular Monday football (trying to copy the NFL), but it was a flop.
I cant remember any mid week football during the winnie cup. Go ring up david middleton or andrew voss ok. |
