I've just posted another thread about 19" LCD's.

How much is this costing u? As in the other thread I'm getting a system from umart too, obviously not as high-end as yours but I'd still be interested in what the price difference is.

r_mazing, I want to get a similar PC - stagrrr got that MB though and he's had quite a few problems with it. I assume it is a once off busted piece of hardware but he's currently waiting 2 weeks for a replacement :/

I actually wanted to get the same MB I have @ work, but unfortunately it looks like they don't make it any more - the A8V Deluxe. Its awesome, built in sound, 1gbit network and 54g wifi.

ASUS A8N-SLI- PREMIUM nForce 4 SLI Socket 939 Motherboard

I have one of these, its been great. The earlier ones had a problem with the chipset fan dieing but I think that has been fixed. Besides that, its been great. Had it for just over a year now.

Awesome board, it's perfect. Teamed with Geil 2gig Dual Channel Ram, X2 4400 and a 7800GTX i'm very pleased :)

Lol, my A8V deluxe didn't support certain 64 bit cores (winchesters, I think it was?) anyways I had no access to a different stepping chip or a dual bios board or such, so I took it back to the place I'd bought it (bought the other system parts there too) and asked them to do it for me. 3 times. Had no access to a car so had to bike it every time.

Finally a close friend came over one day and was building his machine, so I borrowed his chip for 5 minutes and flashed the bios myself, and it's worked since. I wouldn't bother with this board or other boards based on the same design ie MSI K8T Neo2 (which I ended up buying to use while trying to get the A8V up and running,) it's had some other annoying problems with soundcards/onboard sound conflicting (machine would lock up occasionally then the card just stopped being detected in bios), getting 4 dimms of double sided ram to run at ddr 400 etc, and an irritating AGP clip (though I don't know if a modern board exists where the agp/pci-x clip is durable, easy to reach and locks properly).

I'd be rather glad if they have stopped making it actually ;p.

Dad's got the same mobo in his machine, it's been great!

I still having troubles with the 'delayed write failure' though, but I believe that's a problem with the NForce4 chipset.
