Apparently as of Monday 20th of March, 2006, all teens aged just 16 can now obtain a full Learners Licenser. No longer are they required to be 16 and 6 months.

Does anyone know of the validity of this statement, or truth in the rumour or is it simply a rumour?

Actually im 18.. My younger brother was telling me this and I didn't think that he should be driving yet. Just wanted to know if anyone else heard anything =D

I heard, a while ago that it was changing to 16, but you then had to hold your L's for a whole year, i think the main idea was to have kids more experienced in driving before you stick them out there on their own.
