ok . this is a pretty tough request

i am not even sure what the genre is of ths music, but i have been told that its house /reggae. never even heard of the word reggae.

basically, its music like eric pryde - call on me, and cabin crew - waiting for a star to fall remix.

music like that, its not hardcore dance music like they play at the family, its like fast beat remixes, and general good dancy sorta songs. s*** explanation i know. the way i see it, its the 'top40' of true dance music.

i hear alot of the tunes at places like birdees, but havent been there for a while. the family stuff is too fast and hard for me.

i need to know, if theres a CD out that has like all these thrown together. the ministry of sound 2005 has a couple of the tracks, but then heaps iv never even heard. Should i get MOS 2006? i did a search and i see theres like "annual" "clubbers guide" and "trance" cds that MOS have released. which one should i get?

thanks alot

basically what you're after goes by different names, funky house being the main one. it's basically just house music thats fairly commercial.

try the ministry of sound annuals 05 and 06. also cd's mixed by mr timothy, john course and mark dynamix.

when you find that this music lacks any kind of credibility, start buying some defected cd's and move from there.

Those MOS albums are a good start for you exi. Trick is to find some tunes you like on the albums then find more from the same producer/s. Go from there and figure out which genres suit your taste.
Discogs is a database of mostly dance music and an essential resource when you get really in to it.

wow thats dais that site rocks

and thanks tung coz that COSMIC GATE stuff is awesome ;p

see its not like im really into like dance music - for example when im sober just chilling at home i will never chuck on a dane song, i will always listen to punk or rock.

butseriously when youre drunk and out for a night of dancing , that s***s the bomb!! sorry if i sound ignorant.

best feeling is when you hear a song come on that you know you and your mates all love, and you look around and they all got the hugest grins on their faces hahah!! killer

Also get Michael Gray - The Weekend, when that song was just released we went to straddie and had it on repeat whenever we got magget. Now whenever we hear it its just like "yeahhhhh c***!" and everyone laughs hardcore, what a f***en pisser.

Tonight we are going magget bowling at strike, and those c***s better play some good dance music.

Eric Pryde - Call on Me
Is the most f***** song in the history of mankind ever to be created, both to dance to and to listen to..

DOOF DOOF DOOF *Bass stops for 20 minutes while annoying treble only "CALL ON MEEEEE" builds up* DOOF DOOF *Bass stops againf or another 2 minutes to lead up to one drum hit before going back to builoding up the call on me bulls****.

I hate that song with a passion.

I just checked it, Song really starts at exactly 1:32 stops again at 2:00... starts again at 2:15 to a dancable but gay tune tune... Stops again at 2:29.. starst again at 4:09... stops again at 4:30...

WHAT A f***ED UP SONG.

im not one for slow music
i dont know what it is i think if im going to be listening to music it mightas well be good!

back in my techno/house etc days i was always wanting more, searching through s***loads of breakdowns and slow shizzal and trance and other stupid gayness to find some really good hardcore beaty-beats untill i moved into gansta rappy rap where i am now complete

tho rap has its fair share of s*** how can you not be drawn in with
"Check it out here i am in the motherf***ing house, wit a phat dick for ya motherf***ing mouth!"

thats the kinda s*** that gets Jim in the mood for some seriously hardcore gansta 4x4ing!!
