During the weekly maintenance I noticed something in the new patch notes for version 1.9.3 (~25mB), currently only available through blizzards updater.

Love is in the Air!
Are you looking for love? All of Azeroth soon will be! As winter
draws to a close the races are starting to seek that special someone.
Be on the lookout for amorous individuals! Put on that special
perfume or cologne, express your love, and receive gifts in return!
Prepare yourself... love will soon be in the air!

Cue mmo wedding season.

Aw. I thought it was going to be something useful, like a shift in release time for my priest respec :D

But, new content is new content... I guess

They're really going overboard with seasonal stuff though, Christmas straight to chinese new year and now straight to valentines. It'll probably hang around 'till easter.

Rest of the notes just mention fixes http://rafb.net/paste/results/KjkmrL63.html

Is that a brand new patch?

Yeah, isn't mentioned on the official patch notes yet. The realms are still down for maintenance, but auth and update servers are working. Only minor but, I'm still hanging out for the priest buff (hopefully not nerf shadow) in 1.10.

damn.

Bye bye OOC ressing in the 'Core... Wonder how hard they've made Hakkar now? Hopefully it'll be a little more worthwhile than sitting there playing with yourself or reading a book while he kills himself.

Yeah it is trog, if you find someone to log into wow and upload it somewhere for you =p. My guess is it will be up in ~5-6 hours when the realms come back up.

EDIT: The DHT hash is apparently DC9F13A118B0F236B001B440B9E648AFC19E335A if you want to download it yourself.

I just hit level 42 before the realms went down tonight. I'll be on the lookout for a valentine to share that levelling experience.

Also bought this awesome f***-off axe yesterday and man it kicks some ass. Takes nearly half the time to kill stuff compared to my sword that is two level higher.

I did a quest in the Blasted Lands by taking some box to a dude at the castle there. Finished the quest and got the xp for it but the quest is still sitting there in my quest book. I got it from some dude in Darkshire if that helps. When I log on again tomorrow I'm going back to Darkshire, delete the quest and see if I can get it again. Very weird.

For some reason the new patch stops you from disenchanting cloth items *shrug*

Is it time to hit the RP servers to laugh at people?

Hunters use axes. You hunt stuff then chop it up with your axe.
Plus if you're an Orc. +5 to axes.

Although the saying does go, grab a sword and fight for the horde <_<

I can't believe Rev is 42. :|

Hunters use weapons to boost up their agi, up their crit % and to wingclip things ... and that's about it.

Hunters use guns (or bows).

Hunters don't use range 100% of the time.
Having a high damage (slow) melee weapon gives higher crits for raptor strike.

LOL

So what are Hunters meant to use when it comes to close combat? Harsh words? I just picked up some elixir of intelect and went grinding for about an hour to get my skills up for it. Today I got a guild member to enchant the f***er giving me +5 damage against beasts and giving it a redish glow.

I dunno if I'll go back to swords unless I find one that can out-damage an axe for whatever level I'm on.

Don't listen to them rev. Any two hander is good as long as it dishes out the pain and has nice stat bonuses. You got a mount yet?

Yeah, got myself a striped cat to ride around on. It's the pride of Azeroth.

frost trap?
wing clip?
growl?
disengage?
kite the mother f***er?

Hunters use their guns to kill things. If they were meant to stay in close combat, they would have been called rogues.

Any good hunter stays out of melee range.

A hunter in melee range is a dead hunter.

A hunter in melee range for too long is a dead hunter. It's easy enough to scattershot/frost trap to get back out.

At 60 most Hunter's Raptor Strike can crit 700-1000. I'm sure that's enough to finish off most Rogues or a Mage blinkinng in to Frost Nova you.

It's not like they're useless in melee range. Just don't use Deterrence on a Warrior. :X

So I made a spelling mistake, I guess my life's over now! You're (happy) still a dick for posting the same post in two different threads. I guess your own life is lacking so much you can only make do with limited material.
