So I just want to make a quick .com.au website, where can I get a cheap domain and some hosting?
I intend to host some video files there, 4 minute quicktime files, not sure what size they'll end up being yet though.

ditch the plans for a .au, it's not worth the hastle unless you've already got a company name and or product related to the domain you wish to register.

I second the opinion of avoiding the .au domain.
