If someone here has a copy, ask them if you can borrow it to see if it fits into your CD burner...?

^^ agreed with every one, you might be able to re glue the plexi side of of the disc but theres no way in hell the data layer to line up its pretty much dead..

Maybe take it back to store and ask for a replacment try your luck, play dumb and say "Put it in my ps2 made a wierd noise and took it out and this is what happend" , hey you can allways try. 8-)

Put it in the freezer and put tooth paste on it, then whipe it down with a damp tissue. Run it through a CD cleaner.
Works everytime!

You need to get some tips from a hand model before taking pics like this in the future.

Was the PS2 moved around while it was operating? Make sure noone is moving the thing around while the disc is spinning in the drive. I doubt that'd cause that sort of damage though!

Snap one of your CD's and try it.

I could bet a million bucks it was broken by someone not pushing down in the middle while taking it outta the case. Get it a little at work and customers try and play dumb saying it was hired to them like that.

Yeah, right!

Heh really? I would have thought with the advent of digital cameras/cheap storage, you could just photo the disc before you send it out. I guess its only worth doing if your costs from broken CDs is above a certain point.

Make them pay for a replacement.

We check and clean every disc that comes back into the store and there's no way a cracked disc would go un-noticed. Kids DVD's are the worst when it comes to scratches. Some parents just dont give a f*** and let their kids use them as frisbies and s***. They do however care when you tell them they have to pay a replacement cost. "Oh, it wasn't our fault!" Bullf***ing s*** it wasn't your fault!

That would take waaaaaay too long to do something like that. It takes long enough checking and wiping the crap/fingerprints off most discs to begin with.

Can you imagine how much time it would take? Taking photos when there are customers lined up to the back of the store? Looking for said photos when they rent out hundreds of cd's/dvd's every day?

video store up the road, might even be video ezy I don't know, they check the disc right in front of you. They open up the case, take it out, show you the back & go it better come back lookin like this or you're payin for it. At least they used to.

While CD's are great and all they would have to be one of the worst designed things ever.

They're awesome in the hands of people that take care of them.
