Sup.

I brought a phone on eBay, the guy said he sent it out on Friday. He's using registered post, does anyone have a rough idea of when the package will come my way; he sent it from Sydney.

Cheers

Assuming it was posted correctly and people working at the various places the parcel passes through wernt lazy.
It can take up to a week sometimes.

Since it is registerd you can find out where it was last seen by ringing up the post.

Regi post just gets scanned in to the puters when it goes from hand to another. Since they are usually somewhat important they usually get sorted before the rest of the mail, if it arrives seperatly. Most of the time it just comes in with the rest of the junk and gets put aside untill the junk is sorted, then it gets scanned/written in a book. So if the people sorting it are lazy they can put it off till tomorrow, and there are alot of lazy people worken in the post.

Also just for a side note. After you wrap your parcel and think it is ready to send.
Drop it from shoulder height, let it hit the gound. If your not comfortable doing that, pack it some more..

Yeah normal registered post is awesome and super cheap.
I even sent a new computer to my dad via fragile service by going into roma street depot last year and it turned up in mackay 2 days later and in perfect condition.

Australia has a great postal system, just don't send money in birthday cards ;P

Nothin to do with the fact that it's illegal to mail money

Thats where the post office can help you again :)
Simply do a postal cheque to send with your card and it's legal but even though it has the persons name on it that you want as the recipient im not entirely sure how secure it would be in the wrong hands.

From the looks of it, not very secure at all (I forgot to cash my B'day cheque so am looking at it right now.)
