i dont think creatine is that much of a good idea youre just better spending that money on some good whey protein with the proper aminoacid combination and eating a proper diet
creatine just alows you to retain water better but you really dont need that either if you drink enough water before during and after your workouts ps. water is realy important if youre serious about the workouts make sure youre never dehydrated, a book ive read states that even if youre 3% dehydrated you loose about 10% of your strength last edited by darius at 21:47:56 17/Oct/05 |

for general building up most whey protein is about the same? as long as its got 70+ % protein and has the basic types of aminoacids you need (cant remember all the names right now) you should be about right
theres a table ive got here on how much protein you need per your body weight and for my weight (95kg) i need about 140g of protein. so if i have my 3 protein shakes (each one has about 45g of protein) a day and some fish / chicken (whcih usualy is about another 40g for me) im about right on my protein coverage. then i need my 700g of carbohydrates with low glycemic index and im pretty much set with the diet. heres some protein percentages for common foods (calculated on 100g): tuna - 24% cottage cheese - 21% soya beans - 25% bacon - 12% skinless chicken breast - 26% 5 whole eggs - 26% keep in mind though a lot of that stuff also has high % of fat and you want to keep your daily fat intake below 15% and sugars as low as possible |

creatine = waste of time money
Just do roids, better results. :) OR, you could just be content with your natural size afte realising it's a pointless exercise in futility. |

Hell yeah, it's not like silicone muscles.
You have to train harder and eat more than ever before, how else would it be possible. I'm jsut saying creatine is horses***. If your that way inclince, roids is your best option. 8 week cycle, 10kgs, you can probably hold 5kgs of it if your lucky. I've done creatine cycles, and yeah its great when ur on it, but when u stop, it goes. |

Also, I think I looked better not on creatine.
I trained like a f***ing pscyho on just protein and I was so cut, people would watch me train and comment on my muscles. I'm not a big guy, but I was really cut. And I think that's the best I can do in that facet of life. I remember doing a bent-over dumbell row at the gym and 2 guys were watching me and one of them said, check out his f***ing biceps. I wasn't even big, I was just really f***ing cut. I can never be huge, I worked that out. Now I just wanna fill out my shirts without buying a new wardrobe. You can get all excited about being huge, but there is no point in my opinion and it's a waste of time and energy. You have to keep it up forever to keep it anyway. Like most things in life, it's about percentage of energy invested, in relation to percentage gained. Think about it. It's simple. |

Weights, 3 times a week.
25 mins of Cardio, 2 times a week. And just be sensible about what you eat. If you have trouble doing this, build up to it. Start off with what you CAN do, then build up to it. |

While we're harrassing Acetame, I need some workout advice. I'm currently working on arm definition and I need a good method of working the deltoids, partucularly the lateral deltoid. Any info?
Hey Darius do you know of any good high protein diets that a poor uni student can afford? Eggs, milk, bean mix and WPI are getting much love from me ATM, but I want more variety. Also, does anybody use Mike Mentzer methods? Sorry to derail your thread a bit, but I don't wanna start another working out thread :P |

if you want to know what exercises to do for certain areas or if creatine is right for you, perhaps you should visit www.bodybuilding.com and go and read about proper nutrition for starters.
once you get that in check next step should be the supplements, workout routines and finding out what is right for you and what results you want. |

Maybe you could import some from thier UK/Europe affiliate?? I mean if the customer is paying for freight, what's to lose? why wouldn't you sell to them?
So try and check it out Strex. |

Just buy eggs and bin the yolks. Better might be to recycle them somehow, but just eat the whites for protein and lose the yolks and you'll be fine.
I don't do this, but I know a bodybuilder/nutritionist who does that and gets mileage from it. |

I heard somewhere that whey protein isolate is the best for if you want to develope lean muscle mass rather than bulking up (I'm looking to build the lean muscle mass). Any truth to this?

Well nobody answered my question about Mike Mentzer. But some of his methods are really good. Like taking 4 seconds to do teh postive and 4 seconds on the negative for each lift, and then when you can no longer complete the positives, do as many negatives as possible (helps to have a partner or spotter). It really makes a difference.

Strex: there used to be a product at the supermarket that came in cartons which was just egg whites. I never found a source in brisbane though. All this egg-white s*** has to be kept refridgerated thats why u can't ship it anywhere.
I think u can get the powder though which is the same s***. Otherwise just get bulk WPC which is the cheapest and most convenient option anyway. Just so ur all aware, a lot of commercial proteins are s*** and cut with crap. Heaps have failed their label claims. I only get my protein in bulk and direct from dairy manufacturers. |

Must be a short timeframe on the product Stez otherwise they wouldn't be able to ship it even in thier own coutry cause it has to be "kept refridgerated" . So im thniking insulated packaging or short amount of OK time when it's not cold before it needs to be cold.
