Yeah that's some pretty scary s*** there Striker. You'd think if one random has it in his little paws then the pirates would too, something's amiss here. It'd be a shame to waste some new fandangle copy protection on a dodgy game tho, F.E.A.R. would've been a better choice.

as much as I'll want to get this game tomorrow (err today), i rekon at this stage I'm just going to order it from the states.... it'll be worth it in the long run because then I don't have to put up with that completely fugly red MA stamp on the front of the box, that new rating colour system totally destroys the box art imo so i guess this is my way of protesting against it.

Well it's no wonder if he was recording it at the same time as playing it, using fraps or a similar capture program tens to slows you down a fair bit.

hmm, wonder how much damage that railgun does

railgun = gayballs lameness I hope it does 25 points of damage and then puts a big sign above your head saying "no skill aim whore".

As icewyrm said, as soon as I started running fraps my fps drops instantly really low. Normally it hovers around 50 fps solid (occasionally dropping into the 30's).

Single player is really heaps of fun and the rail does 100 damage.

rl looks so goddamn slow

Picked up a copy this morning.. taken the rest of the day off sick. Installing now :-)

Rocket Launcher certainly move a lot slower than the rockets from Quake 3, but they do have quite a large splash damage radius. This is definitely not a long range weapon but should be more useful in medium range fights.

That has pretty much killed it for me before I have even played it.

Never mind the rail gun sounding gayer then ever and the ctf sounding borked and broken.

my initial impressions after an hour of dueling. Rockets too slow but getting used to them, railgun rocks, lightning seems alright. Jumping on boxes is difficult.

GA 20 minute dual rounds are WAAAAAAAAY too long, specially when you are getting spanked hard.

The version of quake2 that comes with the collectors edition... Does it use cd audio like the original used to? If not, where does it get its music from?

also im having problems with my video card...its displaying everything in green.
it only seems to be models and level's thoe...the env background is in proper colour and so is the menu...im running a crappy video card but it ran doom3 fine...its a 9200 radeon and ive just updated to 5.10 drivers and went back to 5.9's with no luck...any idea's???

Taz in your system32 folder theres atioglxx.dll and atioglx1.dll rename them so there swaped and try that.. remember to rename them back when your done.

Just tryed that Oz, no luck unfortunatly...oh well might be time for an upgrade. Radeon 9200's arnt in the recommended specs anymore, might have something to do with it.
