News.com is running the story on Holdens new FJ show car they are currently showing off and so they should. Beautiful classic running lines and gorgeous interior makes this the hottest car(non-4X4) i have ever seen.
The reason we did it was because we could – and timing was perfect. Everybody has been flat-out on VE [Commodore] and this was a chance to ... have a bit of fun and play around. With a chrome Roots-type supercharger, the engine pushes out 480kW and 775Nm of Torque. This should go quite nicely in my Rocsta.. :D |

Its a ladder frame chassis with leaf springs under it as far as i know, might as well be the original FJ.

Ladder fame is good for drag racing... sif that thing would ever see a strip though. Why didn't they just use the bombadore chassis? |

Its a ladder frame chassis with leaf springs under it as far as i know, might as well be the original FJ.even if it was leaf springs, it'd be more than adequate in a maccas car park. The modified Chevrolet chassis features height-adjustable air suspension to allow a body clearance of as little as 25mm.lil different to the original. Sure the C5 Corvette has leaf springs etc, but holden didnt use em on the new FJ. |

Point remains, ladder frame chassis covered in a fibreglass body isn't exactly state-of-the-art.

I can't believe the Corvette uses leaf springs....... still!! Thats as bad as using drum brakes on new cars.

Holden make some pretty sweet cars, HQ, HR, FJ etc...
I like the GTO's my self. Personally, I think the new FJ looks too much like other cars, Tiburon, 350z etc etc. but it's still fkn sweeeeeet! p.s. I have bought the "Street Commodores" Level 2 DVD and by god does that have some fkn sweet holdens in it. last edited by Murderer at 20:49:25 17/Oct/05 |
