Have any of u guys bought anything from the apple site as a student? I've just ordered a new iPod as a student. I've got a valid student card but I'm not actually a student anymore *shock horror!* So I'm wondering how they will actually get me to prove that I am a student? I ordered on the internet without a hitch although the order confirmation email they sent me says "Promotion Savings are subject to verification." which makes me wonder how I am going to have to "verify" my "savings.

If they ever ask to see your student card (likely never) then you will have to show it.

ok, that I can handle, cos i've got one of those. So they're not going to, go to my uni and check if I am actually still enrolled full time and not graduated etc etc? lol, sounds silly, I just thought they'd have a more foolproof system in place to prevent ineligible peoples getting the discount.

All you have to have is a valid student ID.

It doesnt matter if you are going to uni/tafe still. They dont ring up and check, they simply take the card off you, photocopy it and thats done.

The only reason they photocopy it is because they send a copy of it and a reciept to apple and apple reimburse them (as you guys get 10% off).

You are "allowed" to get 1 ipod and 1 machine per year with your card. But, not alot of applecentres stick by that

Education centres would likely tell them to f*** off if they phoned them up asking for enrollement details on a student.
