Who cares, if you don't like it, don't watch it, you do have a choice here people. There are plenty of sitcoms and dramas on TV. With all the bloody CSI and law and order spin offs im sure youll be right.

Is it just me or is there a s*** load of hospital/crime dramas on TV now? or did only just start noticing the lack of comedy.

Obviously people are watching reality TV, hence the reason its taken off so much in the past few years, I do not thinking banning it woudl achieve anything. If people are offended by the content, by all means the rating is there for a reason.

Would you not think that the show keeps airing because it has a large number of people watching it, which would make you think that a large number of people would not agree with that policy and not vote for the guy?

Do the sheep that watch such things as BB even make a conscious choice? I think it's for thier own good, that IQ point dropping cow pat quality shows like BB and elk are minimised.

It'd be a shame to target all reality shows, what about comedy-as-fake-reality shows like The Comeback or reality shows where it's all-fake-bar-one-character like The Joe Schmo Show?

There's quite a few interesting reality shows out there, like 30 Days and How To Make Your Own Country. They shouldn't be all tarnished with the same brush as Idol and BB. Maybe if there was some ruling, if you get to vote on who's out next, it's banned :-)

There is a mass of reality TV shows because they are so cheap to produce.

There is a mass of medical and crime dramas because they have proven popular in the past so now we need to jump on the bandwagon and produce 5 spin offs for each popular series.

If there was any more quality Australian TV being produced it might actually be aired.

Instead we just get bombarded with american not-so-better shows.

The problem is everyone is still watching it, so its still on. If something is not received well or is unpopular then it will be taken off.

If youve got major problems - number one no one is forcing you to watch it, and number two you can be proactive and become concious about what you are watching and how it contributes to the rating wars.

This is Australia, not America. people are very different. What yanks think of the show is totally irrelevant, we haven't seen it yet so we don't know how good or bad it is. Excuse me for judging TV for myself rather than letting the opinions of people from another culture in another country on the other side of the world tell me what's a quality show and what aint.
