Anyone interested in getting together for an xbox halo 2 jam session?

I might, if I dont have to bring a TV. My TV is way too heavy to go carting it around to XBox lans.

Topspin rocked, but its still no virtua tennis.

topspin is easily the best sports simulator ever

its smash tennis from the snes, just looking prettier and with risk shots which are devestating when used correctly

plus dave (ranked no 1) is unbeatable against the super stars

i beat dave last time i played him, he's nothing :D

I havent played top spin tennis yet but it's a tennis game for crying out loud. I mean besides the graphics, how much better than pong can it get ?

I liked topspin when I first got it but it didn't take many hours of playing it till it feeled very 'patterney' to me.

I guess spook would like that sort of thing though.

against the computer, it is;
i had to get cheap as to get to number one

against a human oponent (or 3) its as good as gaming gets

4 player topspin is almost so much fun it should be illegal

When I played it went like this.

- First Serve in
- Cross Court Return
- More Cross Court returns while someone (random) slowly gains the advantage
- Eventually someone would be forced to dive to return, which results in a soft shot.
- Next shot is unreturnable

Also those so called 'risk shots'. I'd time them perfectly and they'd still hit the net/go out. Something I am missing?

you control where the risk shot goes with teh stick, if u hold it down or to the side for too long ur shot will go out or hit net...

Risk shots were one of the things I didn't like about Top Spin. Virtus Tennis was better imo; if you wanted to do a drop shot, you just did a drop shot, no having to time some crazy risk shot meter just to do what should be a standard shot.

decimate rarely misses a risk shot either power or drop

but they are counterable

it just takes teh mammoth amount of skill i have to do it

i personally think the risk shot implementation is super awesome
to hit a good one, u gotta have skillz

PGR2 is awesome. I'm stuck on american muscle hot lap, i've been playing religiously all hard, and i cant get down to 1:42, arghhhh. Its been months now.
Best i've gotten is 1:44
