Does itunes actually move the files on your hdd to different directories or just sort them in it's own playlists? Becauase I think SD Gundam is "looking for a program to sort a mess of music files on a hard drive".
Every media player that I know of will sort mp3's by the id3 tags in it's own playlists... but I have yet to see one that will actually sort files on the HDD by whatever id3 tag you choose to. |

It lets you rename files and create folders and put the newly renamed fiels into the nice neat folders with the following variables %1 Artist %2 Title %3 Album %4 Year %5 Genre %6 Track # %7 File name %8 File number %9 Comment %0 Bitrate %t Play time %b BPM %# Disc # %or Orchestra %co Conductor %cp Composer %pc PCDJ Comment %pv PCDJ Version %pb PCDJ BPM It also does the reverse and lets tag a file based on its name and path using the variables %1 Artist %2 Title %3 Album %4 Year %5 Genre %6 Track # %9 Comment %b BPM %# Disc # %or Orchestra %co Conductor %cp Composer %pc PCDJ Comment %pv PCDJ Version %pb PCDJ BPM %d Skip part of the file name Have used it, and it helped me tidy up my collection (in both directions). |
