I once put a shovel through my linksys router because it was playing up and I'd tried everything and it just kept dropping my internet connection.. (I had a spare router which worked fine)

Afterwards I had a smoke and a beer and thought, damn, that was a pretty crazy thing to do, but problem solved, and I feel great.

(It was the third one I'd tried after taking them back to the shop and getting a replacement, upgraded firmwares, blah blah, no need to go into details, but my troubleshooting was very good and very lengthy, hence the frustration)

I've punched a few keyboards in the past and sent keys flying around the room. Very humbling though when you then have to crawl around on your hands and knees trying to find them all so you can put your keyboard back together.

A guy in the CS clan i was in way back when smacked his tower with the outside of his fist when he was getting owned in CS, put a pretty huge dent in it and even bent the frame of the tower if i recall correctly.

yet another reason why CS brings out the worst in people.

My mouse kept stuffing up on me while i was urgently trying to complete a uni assignment. I kept smashing it agains the table until it dissolved into a few springs.

Then i got back the results and threw the monitor off a building.

I kicked the front of my old case and it sorta caved in a bit, then the computer reset. Scared the s*** outta me. Also smashed the keyboard with my wrist wrest thingy and keys went flying everywhere. Best one I've done is I was playing some game a few years back and I kept dying unfairly, the computer was cheating. Anyway, I was so fired up I was looking for something to hit, but I thought twice about smashing the tower so I ran into my room and punched a hole thru the plastic casing of my pedestal fan. Those were the days.

I've thrown a few NES controllers around and mistreated a few IBM buckle-spring keyboards in my day, but never anything damaged.

This thread highlights the tremendous growth the anger management industry is up for though

I once had a fight with an ex-gf on MSN and I picked up my keyboard and took baseball bat type swings against my desk.

I had to get another keyboard to workout where all the keys went.

But that wasn't the computers fault..

Once I was playing NFSU on my GC and kept crashing into a pole when I was winning the race so I threw the controller at the ground and it hit my toe, nice purple toe then it happend again so I threw it again and hit the ground. Then the buttons wouldn't work so I continued to smash it on the end of my bed.

Doesn't every nerd have a dent in the top of their pc case? ;)

I regularly smash things. Not cos I am agro, but because it can be practical to smash stuff sometimes.

For instance earlier today I had a pen start to get screwy with me. Man did I teach it not to mess with me. After a few goes and it started to piss me off I just snapped it in two and tossed it behind the filing cabinet.

Big deal? There is nothing worse than having a s*** pen, throwing it in your desk, then another day when you need a pen like when you are on the phone you grab that pen and youre like 'wtf this f***ing pen again'

Or a blank disc which is f***ed with a scratch or something. Snap the f***er and you will never again insert an unmarked cd with a messed up .rar file on it or something.

Anyways, that happened early one morning while a LAN was on an the mates were awoken to the sound and sight of me stabbing the CD-Drive

f*** that felt good to do =)
Never annoyed me again after that either (actually, neither did the people who were there watching me carve it up).

i tried to kill myself with a cat5 network cable, as a result of being angry with life, as a result of being depressed, as a result of spending to much time on a pc

Agree with Triamks
My mom just walked in and asked wtf was so funny because I've been laughing out loud for the last 10 minutes.
The funniest thing is that nearly all the things were "computer/cs wasn't working". Lol, such nerds.

Some time ago I was really pissed off (totally trivial because I can't even remember what it was now) but I was REALLY angry so I decided that punching something would be a good way to rid myself of this anger. A wall would destroy my hand (prior experience) so without thinking, I put my hand through the nearest window. BLOOD EVERYWHERE, as well as glass in my hand. I now have a phat scar on my right hand and my parents were thrilled at replacing a window that I "had to break to get inside the house because I forgot my keys and it was really dark"

This is the funniest s*** ive read for ages. Its amazing how pissed off people get at cs. seriously i reckon shrinks should use cs to study anger and why it occurs in players so frequently. also have you been to your local lan hall recently and seen the foul language that comes out of these little 8-15yo? i cant believe the gutter mouths these little daycare cs sluts have. cs should be age limited because its creating little timebombs of rage just waiting to be flashed at the spawn, awp'd through a wall or camped, then BOOM ! physical violence is the only answer to relieve their stress.

That topped it though. LOL'd

I've been fully laughing my ass off at this whole thread. Those videos were a laugh. Maybe that Croyte guy should just accept he sucks ass at Halo.

But seriously, my pc and games are for pleasure, as a hobby. My PC is the centre of my entertainment, communication, study and more. Why would I chuck a spaz and hit something so important and worth so much money? When I was a CHILD I would hit my console controllers. Chucking a spaz over losing a game is the funniest. If you lose because somebody better than you killed you, then practice, maybe ask them for some hints or ideas. If you lost due to a technical error, get over it. CHucking a space cos you lost doesn't make up for it, it doesn't change a thing and it doesn't make you a big man. A bit of yelling or swearing is fine, but if you get violent you should seek help.

yer, it surely is the games fault that he is acting that way. If i heard or saw my child doing that he would be getting a good old fashion beating with the nearest blunt object.

He is the kind of kid that would go out and play halo in real life and then blame the game for his actions. When infact, it is his parents faults for not doing their jobs right and deciplining (sp) him correctly
