Sorry for noob question but...
i just accidentaly dropped a permanent marker on the shiney side of a cd-rw and it made a small mark/line etc. Will this stop the cd from reading? thanks =) |

wipe it off.....you could probably use metho and get it off without damaging the cd, but i would check up on that before doing it :)
also depends where the line is and which way etc. |

line is right on the outside edge, maybe 2cm long and half a cm thick. The line is goin inwards...

cd seems to be reading fine in my cd-rw drive, should a dvd player have any problems reading it?

Aerosol is f***ing ace for cleaning off marker and pretty non-abrasive I'd imagine, being designed for use on skin and all

try writing over it with non-permanent marker and wiping it off, it works for whiteboards, then you dont have to risk the alcohol/whatever damaging your disc.

So is it working yes its working, and the only reason i asked was because cd's get hot when they are in the drive and i didnt know whether it would like melt onto it and go all gay or something.. Better to be safe than sorry. |
