Anyone know where I can buy the australian outlet for the apple power thingo? Or most commonly known as the AC adapter but all I need is the AUD pull out, plug in pit.
Hopefully apple people know what I am talking about. I have a US one, but obviously I can't use it here I have looked on the Apple store and all I can find is a "World Travel Adapter Kit". That isn't what I want |

Have a look at Infinite Systems (www.infinitesystems.com.au) in Charlotte St or Next Byte (www.nextbyte.com.au) in Adelaide St, they should have it. Apple also just opened a new Apple Centre in the Queens Plaza.

Not sure if I'm reading your post correctly - you just want the slot in thing to let you plus your charger into Australian power outlets?
If that's the case - I'm not sure if all models are the same - but mine, you can just remove what's in there, and plug in a pretty common stereo (or Playstation 2) type power plug. Doesnt look very pretty, but works. |

As long as the power output on the a/c adaptor are the same, check the amp and the wattwage, and shell be right.

Couldn't you just get a converter that lets you plug the US one into the power outlets over here?

you could do that but you can get the power adapter plugs off the ipod website, i got a few a while ago
the power adapter converter would probably end up cheaper last edited by darius at 22:37:23 18/Aug/05 |
