Topic: QGL - Where did my buttons go!?

I've noticed this over the last month or so, and as a result it's also had me going "where the hell is the new post button!?".

http://helix.racetime.com.au/files/zero/qgl-screwed-050818.jpg

It's not just when embedding them in the page though - even if I try to view the image for "has new posts" / "new thread", IE doesn't like it. I also get similar results on another website I visit (f1-live).

For those thinking it's related to IE7, I have no reason to believe it's that, because this was happening before installing it as well. What's causing it though I don't know - just all of a sudden one day it stopped displaying certain PNGs! I also don't think it's a problem with the QGL site, just IE. But I'm hoping MAYBE someone's seen this before, and has some solutions/suggestions.

So... any ideas?

By "new post" do you mean "new thread" button? Because I could see it just fine:

He can't see the PNG images, I guess he could post because he move the mouse over the area where the new thread button would be and just read off the URL in the status bar/mouse pointer change shape.

I have heard some PNG problem when you installed IE 7 (or even IE 6) - pehaps your PNG lib on your PC is borked?

Google seems to suggest this is a know problem

Yeah... the images are still there with placeholders and links - hence, I can click the placeholder... but the images just don't get drawn.

That google search isn't realy helpful on this topic Opec - that deals with the lack of PNG Translucency support, but not it not displaying certain PNGs at all.

Khel, it's IE7. I hated it at first, but I've grown used to it. Oh, and it doesnt suck like firefox... target="_blank" actually opens a new tab, not a new window!

So you're complaining because a web browser which isn't even in open beta yet is buggy? What do you expect?

Also, my firefox opens target="_blank" in a new tab, so I dont get what the problem is. Maybe it doesn't do it by default, I wouldn't know cos the first thing I did was change the options to make everything open in new tabs instead of new windows.

Sif you wouldn't just middle click links anyway.
