So, im stuck at narita airport in a foreign country after missing my flight home, after I was unable to get to the airport in time (earthquake screwed up all the trains) so here I am sitting at a dumb net kiosk booted into safe mode with networking to avoid the poorly implemented 100 yen/hour pay software. I can't call faggety quantas coz they're office is still unattended, and the stupid check in booths apparently don't even open until 4:45 pm today.This sucks.

At least the vending machines have decent drinks and I've got a pretty good charge left on my DS :/

i wonder if i'll have to pay the full price for a ticket back to brissie, sooo sucktacular

I almost missed a plane from first time i left tokyo because i thought narita railway station would be pretty close to narita airport. could have caught an express but didnt want to go all the way to central. made it with 10 minutes til take-off and a $130 taxi ride. saw a car crash on the freeway in the rain and their cops throw out real bright flares.

but your story sounds s***ter maybe go talk to someone at JAL dont they share flights. in any case i think travel insurance covers it.

whenever you are leaving out of darwin airport the flights are at like 2am in the morning. so i got dropped off there one night at about 9pm and the 5 hour wait was pure f***ing torture.

well I finally managed to get through to a quantas rep. After a short discussion she said that due to the circumstances, they'd extend my ticket to today. Apparently, theres another flight leaving at the same time tonight. I'm still a bit iffy about it, but she said to just come at time I would've yesterday and to bring my ticket and passport...
wonder if I should pull out some more of my (now very small) supply of dosh from the little citibank teller and get some small bottles of sake. I bought a bunch of shochu but the stores i went to didn't seem to have any sake... except for little 200 ml 1 cups. Which is annoying coz I saw these cool 300 ml glass flasks of sake at a convienience store in shinjuku one night... :/
