TV has sunk to a new low with this show.I realy don't know whats worse the fact that some-one came up with the idea or that ppl want to watch this trash.

I don't mind looking in on ppl's live's but to sit here and watch young couples that would probably have promising future's together get tested like this it very very very sad. :(

And further more in an age where ppl are srtugling to keep there relationships together some sad mofo is producing a show designed to break ppl up.They then slap a labble on it saying it's entertainment.

They are so f***ing forcing it on me. I used to watch other programs at the times that this total faeces is on now. Everytime I turn the box on, no matter what the channel, one of these f***ing things is on. Either that or all you see are adds for em.

I watch very, very little TV anymore. I prefer interactivity so therefore, The Internet.

When I do watch TV, I generally prefer informative programs like documentaries or current affairs (Foreign Correspondant owns you), although I also watch FlatChat to see my sister on TV.

I think there is a little too much American shlock on our screens, although I am not completely against US shows as once in a while something good comes along (Simpsons, Seinfeld, X-Files etc.). But there is one thing that really pisses me off, and that is the influx of f***ing American commercials, with stupid Yanks with their cocksucking voices trying to sell us s***. f*** off! These multi national corporations should fork out the few extra bucks to use Aussie talent instead of re-hashing some US crap.

Yeah, I think this "reality tv" has reached a new low with temptation island. Its just plain cruel to stick 8 people on an island and deliberately f*** up their long term relationships with each other. Surely they're dredging the barrel for ideas when they come up with that.

And yeah, the "if you dont like it, dont watch it argument" is all good and proper. But it still stands, the show is crap :)

Anyway, back to the topic - TV IS FARKED.

I hate all these new "real life" drama shows. For starters, people never react realistically when there is a camera shoved obviously in their face. When you start throwing in producers and s*** that are OBVIOUSLY trying to direct the path of the show so that its more viewer friendly, it turns into a hodgepodge of mass media slaw. I heard on the radio (nfi if its true) that one of the chicks off the Australian outback one was taking them to court, because the producers or someone had had a private word to some of the other 'contestants' to vote her off, or something like that.

So far, all they seem to do is show how people react under pressure in a particularly superficial way. Everyone KNOWS they're on TV, so they don't really act like they would in a normal situation; they KNOW they're not going to die if they run out of food, they KNOW that if they act like an a****** on the show, they're going to come off it and look like total megamegaultra tools.

So of course they behave in a weird manner. Add to the fact that the producers actually want to see them competing and acting like a******s, then it just gets really weird.

Of course, TV has never really been about innovation, its been about taking someone else's idea and wrapping it differently.

Yeah Trog I think you summed up the behaviour of ppl infront of canera's quite nicely.People are never the same when they know everyones watching although some of them let slip with their ugly side when the pressure's on at times.

I guess what gets me is what's so wrong with ppl's lives that they get a kick out of seeing others suffer and I think Temp Island is the worst by far.

I don't watch tv much or that show, but Taipan, obviously, they didn't have a great future togther anyway, if they agreed to go on the show in the first place !

I don't watch TV. It's merely a tool put in place by the Government to keep the population subdued and under control. It's like what the Roman Emperors did. They put on 'Games' to entertain the people so they wouldn't worry about the disease and famine that was going around.

I've treked across the U.S. and didn't like it.
My oldest brother lives in SAN FRAN, poor fella...
He wears a body armor and carries a gun when he goes out.
He says it's quite normal to hear gun shots going off around the city..
Also there is thousands of homeless peaple living in the streets...
The U.S. should stop worrieing about the rest of the world and pay a bit of money to clean up there own backyard...

I think the only reason the people watch that show is to have a good ol' perve on the men/women.

I don't watch much TV either.....and I want to live in America, for the most part the violence is blown out of proportion.
