The guys over at siliconhorizon.com let me know that they have now introduced the new Everglide mouse pad, so we should see these babys filtering into Australia over the next month or so: 1. The mouse pads are no longer manufactured of polyethylene. Hummm, I wonder if this post earns me a freebee (please!) |

I need to get a mousemat replacement. My current everglide's main surface wore out and sorta became icky to use. Turning it upside down helped (which is what I'm using now). I tried sandpapering the top surface down a bit, but it didn't help (made it worse) so I don't recommend doing that. |

Trog this may sound abit strange but if you want to smooth your everglide pad don't sand it,find someone that has a oxy touch like the ones used by plummers. If you run the flame smoothly and fairly quickly over the surface it will melt it just enough to smooth it back out. Like I said it may sound funny but it does work I help one of my mates out in his plastics business and we do this to heaps of types of plastics including the one the everglides are made from. |

There is another way to clean those pads you can use thinners on the plastic and that should do the trick. |
