and i only get 30 "AND" 60 fps nothing else its mainly on 30 when i shoot and move but when gointo a corner its 60, this happens on all resolutions 640x480 upto 1200x900 its really weird i tried all drivers and s*** any help?

u r using Windows 2000 right el ? that is the normal thing for win2k to do... overclock ur athlon that'll help :P

Well i didn't get any hardware for christmas coz i don't let ne one buy me hardware, coz they don't get the one i watn, but if u call getting a 19" Sony Last tuesday getting it for christmas then i did get myself some hardware for christmas.

nar nothing should be wrong...every thing is set up right...the hardware is ok......cmos is setup alright ive tried 100's of drivers....im using win me though :)

Ok, how do you people get such high FPS in CS?

I get a flat, 71FPS consistent - I think it's capped in HL somewhere, but i don't know the command. - It used to be at 60 'cause it was matched to the refresh rate of my monitor, I disabled that, but now I sit at 71FPS.

Any ideas of the command?

Deeper, opengl has the cap on at 71fps but direct3d doesn't. I prefer opengl personally coz it isn't microsoft and is much more fun to program in.

my asus p3v4x works without the agp drivers under win98 and win2k, but it works beter with the drivers, i can't explain y coz i am bot a micro electronics professor, iam just going off of personall experience and sujjesting things to help with the problem.

That is the driver thing that comes on the Motherboard CD? Yeah that is just an AGP filter thingy for win2k. It does improve it but it wouldn't make that much difference, and I have only seen that on Asus boards.

if it is 4-in-1 drivers, check for newer ones than on the CD of course - on www.via.com.tw (not clickable... dunno how).
