i went to the cinemas and asked how much they were going to sell the big dark knight poster, where the joker is facing away and looking backwards. the guy said they had already had bids on it for $500.

The last batman was s***. Utter s***. Disjoint story with missing plot. I don't have any expectations about this and I certainly won't be wasting my time and money seeing it at the cinema.

Had I known 'dark night poster' was batman i wouldn't have viewed this thread.. but i'm worried about coming late to epic threads now thanks to missing all the DVE 81 fun.

no. had some stupid flashback to tibet or somewhere at the start. something about chemicals in water. he found the chemical lab polluting the water without ever having worked out it was the water that was the problem. Robin may have been in it. Who knows, it was f***ing boring and made no sense.

Just finished reading "The Dark Knight Returns" - now that has epic movie written all over it. Frank Miller went overboard with the Mutant bit but if there ever was a Batman/Supes crossover, that'd be the one to do.

And back to the topic - this looks like it'll be worth going to the cinema for. Not so sure about Iron Man, which looks like a cool FX/explosions movie but little in the way of plotting. Robert Downey Jr is one of those hot/cold actors, great in some stuff (Less Than Zero), ordinary in others (Natural Born Killers).

Please don't let them be another Hulk/Daredevil/Elektra/Batman & Robin...

im actually kinda glad someones said that

if i think about it, what i remember of the plot was kinda all over the place, the tumbler was f***ing stupid as hell and the superhero goofball s*** towards the climax really didnt fit in with the HARSH TRAINING MONTAGE at the start


I think the reason i remember liking it was

a) christian bale is rad
b) paveways sig
c) it kinda did the same thing as the new Bond, which i liked. Only Bond did it much better
