I heard something about this on the weekend but didn't pay much attention to it, here's pics

Yeah it was on the news a few days ago.

Bloody crazy that a bird could do that kind of damage... massive props to the pilot that managed to fly it back in that state.

Not to mention the engys who designed an aircraft that could perform like an F1-11 and not fall out of the air after a bird strike.

You think this s*** is scary... Space shuttles are paper thin aluminum in some spots, and do you know what is in space? f***ing tiny meteorites traveling at blazing fast speeds all over the f***... they chip the s*** out of the windshield - I have no idea how the foil survives, but still... f***ing scary s***...

yeah narrow victory, the f111 gets a broken nose, and the pelican is spread all over queensland.
