I have a bunch of old random stuff to give away, mostly promotional stuff sent to us from games publishers. It has been building up for years and I've always intended to give it away, but I've never thought of a good way to do it, so I haven't ever done anything with it.

Well, now I have. Basically what I'm going to do is have magic items that appear in the AusGamers RSS news feed every now and then. These items will contain a small, trivial challenge (a simple question you need to answer, or something similar).

The first person to answer this question (details on how to do so will be in the item) will win the prize. It is dead simple, no strings attached, first-in-first-served.

Before I announce this as news, forum people are going to get the first chance on the first prize, so point your RSS subscriber dealies here and sign up.

Oooh, free stuff...I probably should get a decent RSS reader then which will automatically notify me and update frequently. I'm just using Firefox atm and I have no idea how often that updates.

What kind of stuff is "promotional" stuff? I think of posters, coffee mugs and $2 mouse mats with game logos on them when I think promotional stuff.

That's something I'd like. A mozilla add-on that instantly notifies you when some news is up.

Not to mention feedzero has an innate problem distinguishing AFL from league and union.

I have a bunch of stuff, some neat, some not as neat. First thing will prolly be some ETQW dog tags/USB memory sticks.

we use feedburner for our RSS feed stuff, so if you abuse it you'll prolly just get blocked from there
