That certainly seems like an odd characteristic to focus on at that high level of requirements

If the plane crashes there will be a large exit where the fuselage HAS SNAPPED IN HALF.

There's no need to have that 3dee. Firstly, Mythbusters proved that somebody that has never flown a plane before can be instructed from the tower to land the plane. Secondly, the autopilot is able to not only fly the plane but land it.

That's a pretty LOL ad.

In all honesty, I feel 110% safer in the s***ty gutted Cessna 182 (which fits 5 people basically humping eachother) that is on the verge of breakdown flown by an inexperienced pilot gaining flight hours.... compared to a proper commercial turbine passenger jet flown by a leet pilot.

One I'm wearing a parachute and can bail at ANY altitude over 1000ft (or possibly under if you have balls), the other you have to trust some other noob and you're locked into a certain death if he f***s up.

No... but I trust myself and noone else...

f*** sitting in a 747/airbus relying on a single human to save hundreds of passengers...

I will f***ing bail and save my own life.

Worst case scenario you bail at 30,000ft and go unconcious due to oxygen blackout... you will just float half brakes into whatever (tree's, building, barb wire? f***s me) and break a dozen bones... but at least you live.

s*** even a Manta 270 will full inflate by 300ft and you will crash into the ground at 30 - 40km/hr.

f*** staying in the plane regardless.. take your pilot chute and do a hand held PC throw @ 100ft instead of trying to land with a noob.

Yeah seen it.

Yeah, not everyone can afford those before each flight.

The only other thing is to trust Hal.

2 actually. What I'm wondering is, what the hell do you do when you're in a car and someone else is driving?

The odds of dying in a motor vehicle accident is much greater than that of dying in an air accident.

The reason it's in there is because part of all crew training involves going down the emergency slides into a pool, as well as some "x time underwater while doing something" tests.

Im still laughing at the bit where you jump out of a plane at 30,000ft to land on a tree/building/barb wire and just break a few bones.

Okay, so you're travelling at roughly 55 m/s (200km/h) and you hit the ground with an impact time of lets say 50ms (very roughly ur height (1.8) divided by ur speed (55)) that means that you are decelerating at around 1700m/s² or 175 Gs. I'm pretty sure you would die!

you forget, chub can only see at 22FPS he's decelerating alot slower than that.

The saying goes, if all else fails, track to the ocean ;)

On that note, threads needs some tracking.

Base wall tracking, nearly object strikes, first person viewpoint.

Same wall, different jumper, no tracking suit, viewpoint from the cliff.

...and some regular skydiving tracking
