Basically Google sponsor students to work on a wide variety of open source projects - including some games and game technology, including software like BZFlag, ScummVM, SDL, and Battle for Wesnoth. I thought they'd stay away from legally questionable things but I was surprised to see they're supporting FFMPEG and x264 because of potential patent issues. So maybe XBMC isn't such a crazy idea.
Well I just wrote the above, then looked the website and XBMC is actually supported. Don't I look stupid. |
