Games news sites are reporting that EA has issued a new offering to Take-Two's shareholders in an attempt to purchase the company outright. Last month EA offered some $2 billion to Take-Two in an effort to accomplish the same goal. Take-Two declined, and EA took their offer public. Now, Electronic Arts is offering the price of some $26 per share to Take-Two's holders, a generous valuation.

serves take two right imo, should have taken it while it was on offer
they could lose out bigtime here and have no one to blame but themselves

How long until we're left with no independent/small game publishers? Seems EA/Vivendi/Microsoft etc are doing their best to buy each & every little one out that has at least a half-decent title to their name.

they haven't made anything worthwhile since commander keen.

I am surprised actually that there hasn't been a remake of commander keen!

existence sued them for using his likeness, so they're not allowed to make any further keen games.
