Topic: CPU Fan Error!

My computer got a blue screen just before. Now when i start up, in dos it says CPU Fan Error! press F1 to resume. What is going wrong, and any ideas what could be causeing it?

The obvious question is .. is your CPU fan spinning?

You're going to want to Format and then reinstall windows.. Don't back up anything you've got a virus that attacks the fan sensor.. The only way is to nuke everything straight away...


or it could be your ram... Try re-seating it in the slot...



or its probably your power supply, let me guess you're using a cheap yum-cha psu and its probably about to give up..


Failing that I can't think what it possibly could be in the slightest...

No ffs don't listen to these people.

Remove the CPU fan completely, clean it with olive oil and garlic (great cleaner I use it on my hands all the time) and replace.

Profit!

Looks like your going to have throw your computer in the bin.

Go down to Harey Norman and buy a pre-packaged ACER/DELL. You seem more suited for that kind of PC.

Make sure you get the 24 hour Retard Support Package - your going to need it.
