Some of you may remember the lego batmobile I made with the lego digital designer program, well I went ahead and order the pieces to build it and the final pieces arrived today (I didn't get it through lego.com, I found a cheaper way) and I put it all together, I bought a little lego batman to go with it too :)

The batman legodude fits inside and has a little cockpit with steering wheel, it's too dark to get a decent photo of the interior tonight so I'll try again tomorrow, anyway here she is.

That is f***ING s*** HOUSE. Since when was lego a bunch of such highly specific blocks. The kids of today will have no imagination at all because they werent brought up on real lego.

I agree with qmass, i'd be interested to see what you started out with.. it looks like a s***ty model - but with a few lego bumps.

Don't listen to those dorks, they obviously can't remember all the specialty blocks lego sets have had in them since the original space set days in the early 80s. It looks mad.

it's hardly specialized, there's 226 pieces in that whole thing I can post pics in stages of being built if you want

here's the ugly arse one lego is actually trying to sell for comparison

That looks cool Wet. And you're right, yours looks a million times better than the official piece of s*** from Lego.

Yours is smaller and probably doesn't have as many moving parts. Or a gun, you lose wetwired.

Here's some more pics for the haters who would prefer it look like a box. in better lighting conditions from all perspectives and showing the interior

is that steering wheel on upside down?

possibly, gravity usually makes it swing upside and I probably never noticed

Here's some instructions on how to build it generated by the lego digital designer

Nice work dood, looks like you put a lot of effort into it and it looks better than the official lego one.

So what's the cheap ordering method?
WetWired

I ordered parts individually from 3 different sellers at www.bricklink.com it ended up being AU$51 including shipping whereas it would have been AU$52 plus AU$30 shipping from lego.com

bricklink has more variety in pieces too, I got chrome silver hubs instead of grey ones and some other minor differences

you could, but I sold one on ebay a while back and got $80 for it and I'd probably ask $100 to make another as it's a pain in the arse tracking down all the pieces required.
