Topic: Haze Delayed... Again

Well, it most certainly has been pushed back. Haze, the first-person shooter for PS3 developed by Free Radical (Time Splitters), has been pushed back to April this year, or even beyond. Originally slated for a December 2007 release, it was expected the game would hit in the first quarter of 2008, however, Ubisoft has said the game may be as far away as April, or beyond.

"Haze has been delayed as the financial situation allowed it," explained Ubisoft Australia PR and Promotions Manager, Chad Acers. "So we decided to take additional time and polish it [the game]."

The delay has come about in the wake of Ubisoft's most recent financial reports that show massive growth over their margins this time last year, even beyond their Q3 07-08 projections, suggesting there's no real need for Haze to arrive just yet. Here's hoping the added time gives this purported PS3 exclusive a real chance to shine.

So it's a PS3 exclusive now? I remember a while ago that they were talking about it being on 360 and PC a little later.

No suprising. Seems every game these days gets delayed for 1 reason or another. Always the ones that seem interesting to me or ones I want to play. First smash brothers now this.

Its been a PS3 exclusive for ages, I'm not sure the the stories about it coming to 360 were ever more than hopeful fantasy :(

also the game is the most f***ing generic thing EVER. god. sony can't rely on this game to sell units (at the stage it was at at its last showing, anyhow), the exclusivity really means nothing to a lot of people, but I guess it will sell as the masses wont know the difference, kind of like Halo.

*sigh*

I really like the premise behind HAZE, it seems pretty original as far as the concept goes. I can't speak for gameplay and graphics though.

And as for halo 3, it did amazing things for the fps genre on consoles. If you don't get it, you don't get good gaming.

Halo 3 is a good game, short, but good. Half Life 2 is much better though.

it showed that fps games could suck just as hard on consoles as they could on a pc and still produce more sequals.
