I am going to the hear and now thing and then heading into the valley. Hopefully there will be lots of hot chicks in not much at all, I love summer in this town.

Taking my holiday on the Friday and going to DFO, Raines Forest for an afternoon massage+spa+sauna, then off to the clicks on Friday night Gold Class style. Saturday will be packing, Sunday will be flying to Japan.

Where are you guys getting your kegs from? The only place near us that used to do them has stopped renting them out. Price etc?

At this stage i'm payin 200 bucks for a keg of VB and payin 50 for the icebox and gas etc. sounds bloody expensive to me, i'm gonna do a ring around tommorrow and see what else i can jimmy up. I'm happy to pay a little more for the novelty value of beer on tap though, you'll always need backup carto's anyways.

~250 sounds fair (assuming that's a 50 litre keg)... last time we got one it was about 4 years ago, and it was about $200 all up back then. You get ~9L/carton, so roughly $40 x 5 = $200 for the beer, and convenience and novelty is easily worth $50 between a couple of people.

You might want to think about getting a black garbage bin full of ice to keep the keg in.

Hoping there's good wind so I can have 3 lush days of kitesurfing.

$120 for a keg from the chalk, includes 2 taps, a full gas tank, and all the peripherals required to pour a sweet ass beer. BYO plastic cups.
Not anyone can do this, you gotta be good mates with a manager :)

hrm, i like this idea with the keg in the iced water. Every other year we've done this its just been keepin the ice box topped up, which has always been enough but this would be super chilled!
