Was very skeptical with the funny lookin guitarist, and the bald keyboard player.. Then the drummer started and it began to kick ass! Riffs roaming around metallica styles, solid lead licks and driving base. THEN the singer opens his mouth and KILLS it all..

The best tickets? Isn't Riverstage always just all general admission. It won't sell out for a while, if at all so I think I'll hold off for a while.

EDIT: just read "GOLD general admission allows patrons to enter the area
closer to the stage, whilst SILVER category will be located behind the gold." f*** that.

Heh, you're not the only one that thinks that. A big chunk of DT fans dislike LaBrie's vocals, myself included.

Bah, LaBrie is a f***ing cainer, he has a brutal range and fits in perfectly.

Perhaps try a softer song Gaz (also has a great lead in solo by Petrucci :D)

meh the vocalist is fine, works fine for DT. Not the biggest DT fan except for a few songs..

if you want DT without the vocals isn't there liquid tension experiment?

DT have always had that kind of vocalist since they started, suits the music imo. They are so bloody good, can't wait for the concert, just got to hope i get these gold tickets quickly enough.

I cant imagine trying to mic that up, that must be like 28 lines just for a basic drum mic up :o
Most bands i mix are 24ch, and even then theres some wank involved!

I used to get lessons with Grant. That kit is just f***ing stupidly large, but it's awesome watching him rip on it. Even cooler is seeing him jam on a tiny little 4 pce bebop kit and still creating f***ing amazing sounds. That guy is in a class of his own.
