This is the most impressive fight sequence I have ever seen that contains no edits. From the movie "The Protector", featuring Tony Jaa (of Ong Bak fame)

...

The director calls this "the most dangerous long take scene ever." A 4 minute stedicam shot featuring a variety of martial arts.

The crew spent over 1 month preparing and choreographing before they were able to get a perfect shot

Meh,

Seemed kinda slow and labored, they need to speed it up a bit.

Boring with lots of balsa wood ... furniture just doesn't smash when light asians are thown on it.

This movie is rad. It has some of the worst acting I've seen in a film, but some of the coolest fight scenes. Pretty much the only thing the main character says though the movie is "WHERE IS MY ELEPHANT?!" It's hilarious.

There's a scene in the movie where he fights a dude who does capoeira in a burning building, it's f***ing awesome. I'm at work, so I can't access Youtube at the moment to find it, but I'm sure it'd be easy to find.

Impressive as its 1 whole shot..

You'd think those leather clad gangsta looking asians would be packing guns.

Nothing beats ong bak.. fearless was pretty good though.

I thought it was f***ing amazing.

You hear on DVD commentaries all the time when they do a 30 second single take shot, the director gets wet... yet this is 4 minutes with Tony Jaa pwning stunt people through balsa wood.

The fighting choreography was lame (especially compared to Tony's level), but the use and variety of scenery and objects made up for it :)

Yeah Tom Yum Goong is a brilliant film, that was a good scene. but the fight in the Buddhist temple was better, and the awesome fight scene with the bikers and the roller bladders rates a mention, overall good film :)I can't wait for the next Tony Jaa film.

The best bit in the movie was when one of the big guys threw the elephant.

its cool but I thought the fight scene in the chapel on fire was much better -against the capoiera guy.

The story and the acting was horse s*** but the fight scenes in that movie were some of the best i've seen and that's what counts.

I loved that street lamp scissor kick!

you should see a movie called "fearless" or "unleashed" if not already... now those have insane choreography...

I quite enjoyed the first vid. It didn't seem THAT awesome for a long shot but had some cool bits.

If you want to see a f***ing awesome steadycam shot, go get the movie Children of Men. THAT is choreography. f***ing insane.

What I loved about Unleashed was the totally unnecessary brutality, they really cut down on the fancy ninja moves and replaced it with repeated face smashing.

Normally someone gets hit in the face and that's it, but he just holds onto their head and thumps them over and over with awesome sound effects :)

Definetely a great movie.

Here's the intro to prove my point

Definetely got to hire this out again.

Smooth camera work, but I agree, Unleashed has much better, more realistic fight scenes.

The intro was the best bit in Unleashed.
