You can get demerite extracts printed out, costs about 15$

though they may look it up for free.

subtract how many points u have lost from 12

so for example, say u were caught speeding, say 15km over
3 point fine usually

so 12-3=9

u would have 9 left over.

now lets say hypothetically, later that afternoon you were pissed off about the whole incident and went through a stop sign without coming to a complete stop, say another 2 points.

we now have 9-2=7

7 demerit points.

its usually just basic math, but sometimes with elements of trigonometry.

gained

you gain demerit points when you pay an infringement
you lose points 3 years after you pay

using the hypotenuse rule, and the advanced concepts of trigonometry mixed with a dash of bs, you practicly brake it down, to having -23.444444 demerit points left.

this is pure myth tho.

Unless it was in a double points time? and even then 10 - 15 over can be 1 point.

Easier to just ask.

double points too if you get done repeatedly for the same offence in a certain time (might be 3 months)

say you get booked for doing 30k over (say thats 4 points), then week after you get done for 30k over again, the second offense gets 8 points, for a total of 12. bonus combo multiplier.

when you lose for example 2 points, you get those points automatically back after 3 years..

You have to pay to find out how many points you have left...

subtract how many points u have lost from 12

so for example, say u were caught speeding, say 15km over
3 point fine usually

so 12-3=9

All you know is that i got done doing 20k over the speedlimit and went on advanced driving courses. All i said was i consider myself a safe driver as there are alot of idiots out there who tbh never should have got their license in the first place.

But no go ahead without knowing anything about me, and assume im one of the overconfident drivers who think they own the road. Loser.

yeah i'm saying that you're the sort of over confident driver who thinks he owns the road right up until the point he leaves it sideways and parks his car in someones lounge room. you've done a couple of emergency stops and dodged a couple of witches hats, all while you had some guy sitting next to you telling you to squeeze the brake and look through the corner.

next time it rains you decide you've got the skills to navigate a corner at the speed limit and kill three of your best mates.

I have a vagina and I have never had complaints about my driving. I have also completed those driving courses and know that you don't actually have anyone sitting in the car with you telling you what to do. I did the course without anyone ever being there to tell me step by step instructions on how to turn a corner, put my foot on the brake or whatever it is you implied to JakeG that happens on these courses. And I was one of very few people who passed the braking test, those failing being all male except for one, so I guess there goes your theory that having a vagina affects your ability to drive

Last year he drove into a tree and killed himself.

People always make mistakes. Everyone does. Nobody is perfect.

People that think it's ok for them to do 20k over are the Tools.

unless you pay by cheque.. and pay 1 dollar or more. after that the Dept of Transport would send you the change ($1) by cheque. if you never cashed the returned cheque.. the process never completes, and you don't lose your points.

I'm kinda feeling that Jerds and his workmates might have fixed that one by now.. still, I'm gonna do it again if I get booked/snapped. It's been awhile so I don't know if you can still get away with it.

haha, how sneaky.

that's kind of like how some sneaky people who are defaulting on credit cards pay the balance out via a cheque the day before a default notice expires so they don't default on the contract - but the cheque bounces afterwards. they can keep doing this indefinately so they never technically default on the contract. i wouldn't recommend it though cause you'll still get a bad credit rating etc.

my mate was sitting in the passenger seat and the copper told him he could drive my car home or to the station.

he said not till i blow in the bag.
copper let him and he blew 0.04.
i didnt know they were allowed to do that but hey he did.

i had a bad record .. once done dui.. = did it properly/stupid.
got done driving on suspension after that. = 2 years

the judge just shook his head at me when he was passing sentence.

before anyone jumps on their high horse i never would have driven if i thought i was over. bit of bad luck i say.

anyways.. doing my time for the crime. havent driven in 3 monts and wont fornother 6 or i go to the big boys play pen at woodford/wacol.

more grip on the road is always a good thing, even if you're thinking aqua planing - more surface area is still better so when you do get traction you have more of it

its true pave. wider tyres can't channel the water in time to get a good foot hold. especially if they are a semislick-style pattern which is optimised for dry grip rather than wet. azenis rt615 especially. so wider is in fact worse.

also, stiff springs don't exactly make for a lot of traction on bad roads.

so i'd say in some cases its going to be more dangerous.

Just because people are Rating 1 on the road doesn't mean they dont do 'stupid' stuff off the road in controlled conditions. (Yes like the 'advanced' course people have already debunked)

I've never had an accident on the road, doesn't mean I havent got my car sideways off the road.

Learning these 'Skills' on the road is stupid and inconsiderate.

I'd rather a 17yo with a hotrod and respect for his license then a 14yo hooning in his dads car.

I'm the only one left :( I f***ing love them though, I had a crack in a brand new SS the other day and honestly I prefer my Sigma... power steering and electronic throttles feel like absolute s*** to me, plus I enjoy being able to fix virtually any problem that arises without the need for a mechanic.

My first car was a Stigma and I now own an SS-V and can honestly say, you're on f***ing crack or something equally mind numbing to come to the conclusion that a stigma > new SS.

I have a clean record on all fronts, no tickts, no demerits, no fines.
Ive had one accident, but a taxi was overtaking me in the wrong lane of a two way street while Im making a right hand turn. Needless to say he plowed into the side of my car and was completely at fault. Nice new doors on his insurance :) Even though it took like 6 months for the money to come through. Bastards.
Oh, I forgot - I was pulled over by a motor-cop one morning for tail-gating, I have to admit I just batted by eyes at him and tried not to stare at the manly buldge in grey tights tht was leaning against my window - for fear of laughing in his face.

On the advanced driving course issue - I did a 'defensive driving' course with Holden out near Jacobs Well. I had been on my L's for about six months and I found the whole thing really beneficial as a new driver, learning about how to use standard and ABS brakes effectively for difference situations, dealing with over-steer, playing on the skid pan and getting to watch the holden performance drivers do their thing.

I have a clean record on all fronts, no tickts [sic], no demerits, no fines.

What a goody two-shoes. I bet you don't have any video/library fines either. :p

No, my vagina does not prevent me from being a functional member of society, including my ability to drive, park and navigate.

Vaginas don't necessarily interfere with driving ability but they sure do interfere with logical emotion-free discourse.

However it does prevent you from getting good jobs, payrises and cheap mechanic bills.

I have a great job, got a pay rise last wednesday, and the last work I had done on my car was 30% cheaper than a family friend mechanic would have charged for the same work.

I am logical, I am a realist - but yes, can be a tad emotional at times. Youre all just jealous.
