You can get demerite extracts printed out, costs about 15$
though they may look it up for free. |

subtract how many points u have lost from 12
so for example, say u were caught speeding, say 15km over 3 point fine usually so 12-3=9 u would have 9 left over. now lets say hypothetically, later that afternoon you were pissed off about the whole incident and went through a stop sign without coming to a complete stop, say another 2 points. we now have 9-2=7 7 demerit points. its usually just basic math, but sometimes with elements of trigonometry. |

subtract how many points u have lost from 12 gained you gain demerit points when you pay an infringement you lose points 3 years after you pay |

using the hypotenuse rule, and the advanced concepts of trigonometry mixed with a dash of bs, you practicly brake it down, to having -23.444444 demerit points left.
this is pure myth tho. |

so for example, say u were caught speeding, say 15km over Unless it was in a double points time? and even then 10 - 15 over can be 1 point. Easier to just ask. |

double points too if you get done repeatedly for the same offence in a certain time (might be 3 months)
say you get booked for doing 30k over (say thats 4 points), then week after you get done for 30k over again, the second offense gets 8 points, for a total of 12. bonus combo multiplier. |

when you lose for example 2 points, you get those points automatically back after 3 years..
You have to pay to find out how many points you have left... subtract how many points u have lost from 12 hey may have forgotten how many he has lost or he's not sure whether he's got the points he's lost back or not. |

i'm on 1 point til april next year - the cop who gave me the ticket was a champ though, wrote it down as 19km/h over instead of 21km/h over so i didn't lose my license.
i usually don't speed but it was like 12am on the bruce highway who would've thunk there'd be a radar =( |

that very statement is justification for why you aren't lol @ this, everyones tops*** around here aren't they. All you know is that i got done doing 20k over the speedlimit and went on advanced driving courses. All i said was i consider myself a safe driver as there are alot of idiots out there who tbh never should have got their license in the first place. But no go ahead without knowing anything about me, and assume im one of the overconfident drivers who think they own the road. Loser. |

lol @ this, everyones tops*** around here aren't they. yeah i'm saying that you're the sort of over confident driver who thinks he owns the road right up until the point he leaves it sideways and parks his car in someones lounge room. you've done a couple of emergency stops and dodged a couple of witches hats, all while you had some guy sitting next to you telling you to squeeze the brake and look through the corner. next time it rains you decide you've got the skills to navigate a corner at the speed limit and kill three of your best mates. |

Yes ive gone on courses and no i dont know everything. What kind of fool goes on a course and then hits the streets thinking he's drift king.
next time it rains you decide you've got the skills to navigate a corner at the speed limit and kill three of your best mates. Entirely different situation. People not driving under the speedlimit around corners in the rain are the 'idiots' im talking about. |

lol High Roll-over Risk. Besides, people like me dont need to be good drivers, Other people need to get out of the way. If they dont I can just drive over them anyway. I've been done by a speed camera once, but I was going down a hill so they cheated >.> |

Then some douche does 20km/hr over the limit on his provisionals and thinks he's top s*** Point out where i think im top s***? I stand by my statement (which is accurate) that there are some absolute tools on the road. Yeah close to 5 years driving with license, around 7 years racing and a perfect driving record on my opens... PWOAH!!!! *steps back*.. you accuse me of thinking im top s*** with a simple 'there are idiots on the road' statement and then you say something like that... searching for logic.... fail. |

I have a vagina and I have never had complaints about my driving. I have also completed those driving courses and know that you don't actually have anyone sitting in the car with you telling you what to do. I did the course without anyone ever being there to tell me step by step instructions on how to turn a corner, put my foot on the brake or whatever it is you implied to JakeG that happens on these courses. And I was one of very few people who passed the braking test, those failing being all male except for one, so I guess there goes your theory that having a vagina affects your ability to drive

A good friend of the family use to attend race days, got perfect marks on about 5 different 'Advanced' driving courses. One of the best drivers I know.
Last year he drove into a tree and killed himself. People always make mistakes. Everyone does. Nobody is perfect. Point out where i think im top s***? I stand by my statement (which is accurate) that there are some absolute tools on the road. People that think it's ok for them to do 20k over are the Tools. As for Females being bad, cant say I've noticed it, I do know more chicks that road rage compared to guys though o.O Chick that lived across the road is always yelling at someone for doing something (Often when she was in the wrong) |

All you clowns that paid to find out how many tickets you have left got rolled.
I just asked the lady at the desk last time i was in qld transport and she happily obliged. You also get a letter once you've accrued 7 or more demerits within a 3 year period just to give you a heads up. |

I have video evidence from back in 2005 that confirms I am officially a better driver than the rest of you I have evidence from 2004 that disproves your theory, when I was in your passenger seat and you were being a pussy also, driving within the speed limit doesn't make you a safer driver chub, it makes you a conformist. Sometimes it's necessary to speed to be a safe driver, if you have no experience doing so then you are automatically gay |

you gain demerit points when you pay an infringement unless you pay by cheque.. and pay 1 dollar or more. after that the Dept of Transport would send you the change ($1) by cheque. if you never cashed the returned cheque.. the process never completes, and you don't lose your points. I'm kinda feeling that Jerds and his workmates might have fixed that one by now.. still, I'm gonna do it again if I get booked/snapped. It's been awhile so I don't know if you can still get away with it. It's worked for me twice last edited by koopz at 20:31:09 22/Oct/07 |

haha, how sneaky.
that's kind of like how some sneaky people who are defaulting on credit cards pay the balance out via a cheque the day before a default notice expires so they don't default on the contract - but the cheque bounces afterwards. they can keep doing this indefinately so they never technically default on the contract. i wouldn't recommend it though cause you'll still get a bad credit rating etc. |

dui..
0.06 the next morning. i got 9 months and 700 bucks. my mate was sitting in the passenger seat and the copper told him he could drive my car home or to the station. he said not till i blow in the bag. copper let him and he blew 0.04. i didnt know they were allowed to do that but hey he did. i had a bad record .. once done dui.. = did it properly/stupid. got done driving on suspension after that. = 2 years the judge just shook his head at me when he was passing sentence. before anyone jumps on their high horse i never would have driven if i thought i was over. bit of bad luck i say. anyways.. doing my time for the crime. havent driven in 3 monts and wont fornother 6 or i go to the big boys play pen at woodford/wacol. |

I've lost a license every year for the last 6 years running but I still have a rating 1
proof that being a safe driver has nothing to do with speed, it's purely to do with NOT CRASHING - something which I think chub has admitted to in the past |

im guessing you havent actually told your insurer about all your losses of licence teq eh?
i would have thought with that record, youd be pretty much uninsurable |

yeah they don't really care about speeding stuff when it comes to the premium, JCI are the only mob who will touch me anyway
speeding = more excess crashes = more premium/less rating (I only had to list the last three years of fines etc) |

It sounds bizarre that anyone would actually adopt a way of driving that attracts more fines and higher insurance premiums. I hope the testes drop one day.

yeah 'cause thats what I do.
I drive a car which attracts attention to me, I get pulled over and fined for s*** that a cop would never even consider doing to someone he see's as "just another citizen" had this debate too many times, I will cop speeding fines and s*** on the chin but I stand by my argument that cops do unfairly pick on enthusiasts (what they call 'hoons') http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/6228/fkyaa8.jpg my car is 10x safer than most of yours, I don't see why I should be fined for taking extra special care of it |

isn't that bad for the wet? Anyway. My gf has a sports car that i drive around all the time, and im yet to even be glanced at sidewards by cops. hell. i have had people behind me get pulled over (who where in an old commadore) instead of me. |

not when my tyres are worth more than chub's car
more grip on the road is always a good thing, even if you're thinking aqua planing - more surface area is still better so when you do get traction you have more of it even cheese cutters will aqua plane |

its true pave. wider tyres can't channel the water in time to get a good foot hold. especially if they are a semislick-style pattern which is optimised for dry grip rather than wet. azenis rt615 especially. so wider is in fact worse.
also, stiff springs don't exactly make for a lot of traction on bad roads. so i'd say in some cases its going to be more dangerous. |

So, there is no way to check the demerit points on a queensland licence over the phone or internet?
ps. thanks for all the f***witts that talk hard about driving crashing (lol, crashing makes you a bad driver, not a good one) or talk stupid s*** (it's pretty easy to be a bitch but alot hard to be a honest, helpfull and decent hellman). |

lol, crashing makes you a bad driver, not a good one well technically you're already a bad driver in that case, crashing just shows you that you are one i had a minor crash a few years back, low speed during peak hour, it made me a more attentive driver that is for sure oh by crash i mean collision not running into a light pole kekeke last edited by Insom at 17:56:54 23/Oct/07 |

Just because people are Rating 1 on the road doesn't mean they dont do 'stupid' stuff off the road in controlled conditions. (Yes like the 'advanced' course people have already debunked)
I've never had an accident on the road, doesn't mean I havent got my car sideways off the road. Learning these 'Skills' on the road is stupid and inconsiderate. I'd rather a 17yo with a hotrod and respect for his license then a 14yo hooning in his dads car. |

(and the majority of the time nobody was entering, so it was essentially empty) And the 1 in a million time it wasn't? Someone looses a loved one. Car spat some oil last night? Hello fence. Last rain developed a pothole, Bye bye tyre, hello little children on the way to school. So much can happen, and you being a tool just makes it all the more likely. |

I'm the only one left :( I f***ing love them though, I had a crack in a brand new SS the other day and honestly I prefer my Sigma... power steering and electronic throttles feel like absolute s*** to me, plus I enjoy being able to fix virtually any problem that arises without the need for a mechanic. My first car was a Stigma and I now own an SS-V and can honestly say, you're on f***ing crack or something equally mind numbing to come to the conclusion that a stigma > new SS. |

I have a clean record on all fronts, no tickts, no demerits, no fines.
Ive had one accident, but a taxi was overtaking me in the wrong lane of a two way street while Im making a right hand turn. Needless to say he plowed into the side of my car and was completely at fault. Nice new doors on his insurance :) Even though it took like 6 months for the money to come through. Bastards. Oh, I forgot - I was pulled over by a motor-cop one morning for tail-gating, I have to admit I just batted by eyes at him and tried not to stare at the manly buldge in grey tights tht was leaning against my window - for fear of laughing in his face. On the advanced driving course issue - I did a 'defensive driving' course with Holden out near Jacobs Well. I had been on my L's for about six months and I found the whole thing really beneficial as a new driver, learning about how to use standard and ABS brakes effectively for difference situations, dealing with over-steer, playing on the skid pan and getting to watch the holden performance drivers do their thing. |

No, just the one - any more I imagine could be somewhat problematic.
The plural was purely to generalise myself into someones (cant remember whos) aforementioned category. No manlissa here. |

Vaginas don't necessarily interfere with driving ability but they sure do interfere with logical emotion-free discourse.

No, my vagina does not prevent me from being a functional member of society, including my ability to drive, park and navigate. However it does prevent you from getting good jobs, payrises and cheap mechanic bills. |

I have a great job, got a pay rise last wednesday, and the last work I had done on my car was 30% cheaper than a family friend mechanic would have charged for the same work.
I am logical, I am a realist - but yes, can be a tad emotional at times. Youre all just jealous. |
