Just wondering if anyone can share some info on the easiest way to sync emails between two locatoins...
I have my laptop at work which i have my personal emmail setup on but i also have it setup on my Home PC. Im currently using Thunderbird on both PC's as my email client and would like emails to be downloaded to both pc's not just the one. Anyone know of an easy way to set this up or not worth the time ?? Cheers in advance. |

tell your mail client to leave a copy of the messages on the server

yeah i have the exact same setup
i actually tell my home machine to leave them on the server and my laptop to delete after downloading home computers always on and sits 0.5 meters from the mail server so it always gets the mail first laptop comes with me, check it whenever i want and anything i haven't already deleted is new = easy to keep up to date |

if you have the option to use imap instead of pop3 it's pretty easy

Usually just set it to keep a copy on the server and delete after 14 days or so. Just means both machines will have time to get a copy.

Another vote for IMAP. Some ISP's charge extra for it though. Free with iiNet. Telstra don't seem to offer it though. |

I used gmail to import all of my uni emails from the last eight years and it's pretty tempting to do the same with hotmail except I have a lot more traffic. Anyone done this?
