Yeah I watched that movie and this show sucks like twice as bad.

Really the goodness of Betty has nothing to do with it's similarity to the Prada movie. It's like "just shoot me!" but each episode is shot like a film, rather than a studio tv show, in the same sense as Lost/Alias/Desperate Housewives and those kinds of modern dramas.

I loved Just Shoot Me, but it's seriously 'Gilligan's Island' compared to Ugly Betty's 'Lost'.

So ugly betty isnt a comedy then, explains a lot.

I find this show to be highly addictive.. I missed the last ep though!!

Alex Meade hires a hitman to murder her father, and later is driving her father's car to hospital to save her brother Daniel from a drug overdose or something, and realizes the brakes have been cut!!!

Also Betty's father is stuck in Mehico and the relatives/friends of the man he murdered 20 years ago are aware that he is there.


Betty's sister's boyfriend finally looks like he's going to be a decent father to his gay son, and is buying his son all this stuff for his performance in West Side Story, but he is murdered.
