I've seen the stack many times, but this was the first time I got to see the cheerleading squad (YUCK), all male cheerleaders ripping their tops off. No wonder he stacked his board.... :)

As rove pointed out... when the guys there face down on the ground, you hear the commentator go "Wow, can't believe he made a 720".

did he technically "make" the 720? considering he didn't regain control

i thought it was funny how his shoes just fly off when he hits the ground

did he technically "make" the 720? considering he didn't regain control

afaik yes he did because he made the landing after the 720. going up the halfpipe had nothing to do with making the 720.

Pretty lucky guy, from what I read he fractured his spine amongst other lesser things.

BMX was insane too, 18 foot flair out of the giant quarterpipe and Chad Kagy exploded his collarbone attempting to 360flip the 70 foot gap.

Amazing slam. Very lucky to walk away, although I am sure he had a good lie down after he got "backstage".

But yeah as ravn0s correctly points out, the 720 is the first air that he completes across the gap. The attempted 540 on the quarter is where he slams.

This type of ridiculously large ramp setup was first conceived by Danny Way and resulted in the construction of the "Mega Ramp" at his ranch. I am sure you can find footage on YouTube if you wanna see some unbelievable big ramp skating.

eg this from the DC Video:
Mega Ramp Footage

Also check this out as it has footage of Danny Way doing all sorts of crazy s***, including a new megaramp in Mexico:
Danny's Page

Danny Way is simply put an amazing skater. He has jumped the Great Wall of China, jumped out of a helicopter into his ramp and holds several world records including highest air.

Also check this out.

DC Pros Shoot Hoops
Probably a lot of you have seen it but for those who haven't, it's a bunch of the DC team (pro skaters) shooting some hoops.

I am guessing they have a lot of time on their hands.

the same technology with balls going in hoops for rediculous shots has been used for various ads

the soccer one where they are juggling the ball off the crossbar for nike as well

the lebron james shooting the ball length of the court is another one
