My money is on japan just because they've been in better form throughout the tournament and are looking to avenge their world cup defeat. The footballeroos' line of defense is filled with holes and are lucky to have gotten this far, imo.

Still, anything could happen, so it's a close call.

I agree, My money would be on Japan as well. However the Aussies are quite capable of pulling a win off quite comfortably if they play to their potential. Should be an interesting game either way.

kewell and lucas neil both kicked the s***test penalties ive ever seen, and they were our first 2 kickers so we were behind from the get-go. The next 3 aussies scored.

Again, a pretty disappointing performance from Australia, almost all-round. I don't know what the f*** is happening with our defence, but it is just sad - the number of times the Japanese were all up in our s*** was really depressing.

The refereeing again seemed pretty one sided (wtf, we got carded for diving, are you s***ting me??) but at the end of the day I don't think you can blame the game on that. Our overall strategy has changed pretty significantly since last year and the effects are obvious - especially in defence.

Damn that was intense!

It has to be said, japan deserved to win at the end so it was a fair result.

Not sure about that red card though. From one angle it looked it like was intentional but from another angle it looked unintentional yet still wreckless. I'd say it probably should've been a yellow card at most. The aussies did well to hold off the japs until penalties with a man down. Overall an entertaining watch.

In other news, IRAQ convincingly going through to the semi finals! watch your back!
