Konami have announced the next version Pro Evolution Soccer - the best damn football series ever made (well, that's what I reckon). The big feature is an all-new AI system:

Key to PES 2008 is a proprietary adaptive AI system entitled Teamvision. Unique to the Konami game, Teamvision is a sophisticated AI programming that learns and adapts according to an individual's style of play. As such, it will learn new ways to build attacks and to counter specific movements and previous attacking or defensive errors, ensuring games are more in line with the tactical but flowing nature of the real thing.

A couple of screenshots have been released. Expect this on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP and Nintendo DS late 2007.

Have you played Pro Evo? I haven't played the most recent Pro Evo, but I've been playing a bit of PES5 and it kicks the s*** out of last year's FIFA games.

Yer I used to play Fifa with a mate, then he got Pro Evo and it is sooo much better, except for the auto player change, asif you want it on.

PES7 on 360 is tops.

The auto player change is more useful in single player toll, cause, well, when you pass the ball you want the focus to change also.

oh and it works pretty damn well online too, impressed by the non-lagyness.

PES7 is a step backwards. Auto selection of players, especially in defense is s***, the game crashes fairly frequently ( altho that could be the 360 ) and the commentators even get the score wrong. I was 1-1 with a computer player and the commentators and mid/full time screens showed me at 4-1.

I found in terms of a fun, sports sim... Fifa kicks the s*** out of it.

FIFA 07 is pretty good but playing in defense is s***house, like instead of making the AI harder you're defense become dumb as dog s***. And what's with the trick moves being so unforgiving. You have to like time it 100% for it to be effective otherwise you lose the ball. Then there's the ultra super keeper that will save just about anything, yet at other times he becomes dumb as dog s*** with simple saves.

I think it's about time i played a PES title.
